Based on things I have heard and am hearing that seems like a pretty reasonable statement.  Then again this is the first offseason under Sphire so we shall see if things change a bit.  There is more than enough talent there to not have losing seasons year after year.  I am curious to see if there are any staff changes going into next year or if it stays status quo.  Also curious to see how the schedule comes together for next year as well.

The schedule should be the same, shouldn't it? Year 1 of the 2 year agreements.

The Dudes are there, the weight and strength is what is missing and that is and has been Sphire's issue since DAY 1!!!!!  

The parent buy in is there, especially with the amount of money that is flooding into the program that isn't school funds is a huge indication that the parents are opening up their wallets to make this a successful program.

We are 6 days into the offseason!  Let them eat or should i say LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!

There's talent in every school...walking the halls, playing something else, or not engaged because coaches/teachers/AD choose not to.approach these kids.  For some administrators that coach too, that's a supplemental income.  The passion may not be there, only waiting for that paycheck. Kids know whos there for them, and there to fatten thier pocket.  What I'm generalizing great programs draw kids and kids want to play because the culture promotes team, and belonging.  If the system does not promote belonging your athletics fizzle.

I asked someone about that last night and thought was this was new 2 year cycle because Highlands played Boyle last year and we’re to host them this year before coaching change.  Honestly am not certain on this.

Highlands had more talent than CovCath on the field last week. They have more DUDES. They seemed to have struggled where to put them or how to get the ball to them, which comes down to coaching. They are going to be tough to compete with in the next couple years if they figure that out. 
 

CovCath is very down on talent this year compared to years prior. They have no stud, no one that is taking over a game. They are in adjust, survive, and advance mode and have been all year.

That is laughable. If the birds had more talent they wouldn’t have been beat 38-8. Obviously there isn’t a Micheal Mayer, but this CCH team has plenty of talent, short of a the QB position, which I think they are adjusting decently for. It just happens to stand out greatly at the HS level the and has taken most of the year to work out. For example, the O and D line For CCH dominated the game and was just flat out better players.

Not laughable. Talented players can lose to less talented players all the time, for many reasons. Motivation, bad breaks, circumstances, coaching…. 
 

CovCath’s playmakers are either non existent or underperforming this year.
Noon, Bottom, Benke are dangerous. 

CovCath has plenty of talent, sure, but they aren’t playing up to potential. Highlands had more talent, CovCath playing plenty of JV caliber kids this year that would not play on CovCath teams in previous years.

 

There should only be two changes to the schedule. South Warren replaces BG in the Rafferty’s Bowl and then someone needs to replace McNick; to my knowledge that game was a one year deal replacing Boyle.

Well, they have adjusted, survived, and are advancing in fine fashion. CCH has some very nice players that have committed to getting it done. I thought Hummel and Agee sounded pretty impressive last week. I think they are more talented overall than HHS.....at least that's what the scoreboard says.

So was 2021 the first or second year of a scheduling cycle?

So now CCH is playing with Jv kids… that is nuts. What exactly did Benke or Bottom do in either game? Or even Noon for that matter? Dietz and Wilson (Blocking) and also Agee and Hummel running the ball dominated in the last game. I’m not sure what game you were watching.
