The Cats travel to Athens, Georgia to take on what will be the #1 team in the country the Georgia Bulldogs. The game will be the CBS national 3:30 game. It will be the first time the Cats have played in this game since they played the Bulldogs here at Kroger Field in 2018. Hopefully Kentucky will make a better showing than they did in that 2018 game vs the Dogs. I for one think they will. This game will be for who will be in the SEC East drivers seat. Go Cats!!

The most important game in KY football history?

If they win it will be, if they lose it will be just another loss to Georgia.

Man, if they win they are going to Atlanta with a trip to the CFB playoff on the line!

I believe Georgia has a better run defense than any of UK's opponents so far. If they slow the run the burden falls on Robinson and Georgia probably has skill players that can contain him. As always game will be won in the trenches. Have to give Dawgs the edge in Athens. Might be the year they get the whole enchilada!

Maybe for potential implications but I think Kentucky is playing with house money this week.

Our pass defense was porous at times last night. With McCall and Oxendine out (so it seems), Brad White is gonna have to be creative.

The opening line is pretty disrespectful to UK at 24, but they aren’t going into Athens and beating Georgia.

Georgia is -24!!?  Hang on I’ll be right back.

I don't think it's that disrespectful. If the voters last week weren't crazy, they had UK and Auburn at 16 & 18; pretty similar.

Georgia just beat #18 by 24 on the road. If home field advantage is worth 7 points, I would have expected a greater betting line (-31).

-24 isn't great, but it's not unreasonable. Now it's up to the players & coaches to prove how wrong the voters were last week!

Beat South Carolina 40-13, Arkansas 37-0 and Auburn 34-10... I don't expect the final against UK to be a 24 point difference but I can understand why the opening line would be 24.

Georgia is playing at an extremely high level right now and a double digit favorite over pretty much everyone. Bama included.

The thing to keep in mind with betting lines, they aren't purely about what the people setting the line think about the game. The oddsmaker might think based on the teams that Georgia is a 17 point favorite. But they want to split the betting pool so it isn't totally lopsided to one side or the other. That means they have to factor in how the bettors look at these teams and the matchup. Who thinks UK has any chance of keeping this close outside of Kentucky? If the line were 17, they probably think the money would favor Georgia 70% to 30%. They don't want that to happen. Then they have to increase the line dramatically to draw money to UK's side of the bet. Watch how the line moves and you will see how the general betting public looks at this game. If it stays close to 24, then the oddsmaker found that sweet spot close enough to the middle of the betting public with just enough money on the side of the bet where the oddsmaker makes their money if what they truly think will happen in the game happens.
