At a program like Florida, losing 5 of last 8 and Kentucky is unacceptable.

He’s a really good football mind but really struggles to relate to the players.

Probably not, but what other UF coach has lost to UK in 34 years? The problem becomes who's better than Dan Mullen? 

I always believe a coach should get enough time to get his players, system and culture in place. Is three years enough? Was it enough for Stoops?

The answer is no… Three years is no where near enough time in football. But too often guys won’t get enough time to really see.

Stoops is a great example of what can happen with a program if the “right” guy is given enough time. 

I don't think it is.  He'll at least get the rest of this season.  Remember, this is the current AD's hire and one of the first hires he made coming over from Miss. St. so Mullen will get as much time as possible to prove Stricklin right.  If Florida does let him go, things could always come full circle and they could just look about an hour to the northeast to grab their next coach out of Jacksonville ?

Absolutely not.

If you can get Urban to come back, sure. If You can lure a no brainer home run hire, sure.

You don’t fire Mullen for an up and comer. That’s how you get in the shape Texas is in. 

He’s good enough to win 8-9 games for further evaluation.
