Really egregious missed fall call on CCH last shot.... Defender literally just ran through the shooter. Outside of Ipsaro, CCH played terribly so no one to blame but themselves. Congrats to SH. Their big guy was really good.

To be fair, The Cru went belly to belly and didn't back down. If the Colonels didn't play well enough throughout the game, one call on a last second shot, well ...

We got beat. We got beat twice by a band of brothers. Respect. Row Cru!

Coach Faust and Cru always knew they'd measure up. "Let's do this for all the little schools ..."

He spoke from the heart. This team embodies St. Henry and I love watching them.

Love it! Special kids at St. Henry, very close group, love seeing this group stick together all thru elementary and high school. Congrats Cru.

Hope the Cru keeps up the intensity and they  don’t have a let down.

The were all Kentucky boys comment, must have been kind of the rallying cry last night for St. Henry. As the student section for St. Henry also was saying the same thing.  You definitely have to admire their creativeness, and kind of shows what the perception now is for even high schoolers in the area.

Photographer Bob Jackson had a pretty solid vantage point of the final shot. Here's what it looked like through his camera...

Regardless of whether or not there was a foul on the final shot, Cov Cath had a bad game, and St. Henry played a good one. Both teams were messy at times - I haven't seen the book, but it sure seemed like there were a lot of turnovers. The Crusaders set the pace for nearly the entire game, and Cov Cath struggled when it came to fouls - beginning with a technical on Stocks in the 1Q. Cov Cath's Murphy was on the ground, Veith was standing over him and made a comment, and Stocks gave a small shove...and was rightfully T'd up. Not the way to set the tone for the game - and certainly not the way to handle things against one of the best teams in the state from the free throw line.

Cody Teten had Chandler Starks' number all night. He made his way to the bucket through Chandler almost every time it came to one-on-one, and Teten was part of the reason Starks didn't make it into double-figures scoring last night. I believe Starks only had 6 points, and I missed what Rylee's total was, but when your team's leading scorer misses most of the second half with foul trouble and doesn't score a single bucket in the half, that's gonna be a problem for your team. Cov Cath's leading scorers are Rylee, Ipsaro and Starks, respectively. Two of our top three offensive players didn't crack double figures. That won't cut it against one of the top 3 teams in the state. Period.

Teten, Veith, Bessler, and Ravenscraft all had top-notch games last night, and the only guy for the Colonels who I thought looked good was (obviously) Evan Ipsaro with his 32 points.

Congratulations to the Cru for proving that they were the better team this season, not once, but twice. Like I said earlier in the thread, I'll be cheering for you from here on out.
