Talked to Thad this week and he assured me they were extremely confident LSU was going to play well and bring home the W. I wouldn't hold anything against him with regard to how many HS he went to, happens all the time and if you don't know his "situation" you can't judge. Bottom line is he found the right fit in HS and in college since NC State was not a good situation either.

 

He balled out, helped LSU to a win and clearly showed he has NFL potential.

Spot on and IMO this is what happens when you have a weak schedule in the ACC and then you are not battle-tested and really don't play anyone until the last 2 games of the year giving up over 1000 yards and 65 points. They were lucky vs. Ohio State IMO and LSU simply just finished them off. I figured this would be a blowout of 14 points or more and frankly it could have been worse.

 

Actually this is just an example of a good team losing to one of the best college football teams ever. Nothing more nothing less.

I was disappointed in Lawrence. He is young, but after how he looked in last year's title game, I thought he would shine. I don't think the guy gets rattled, which I like, but I have never seen anyone overthrow that many receivers in a single game.

 

I think LSU alot to do with that. Last year, Bama's D made it into the back field some but I don't recall them being in the backfield as often as LSU was and that back field presence really caused him to rush passed.

Interesting to me that no one pointed out(or maybe I missed it) the difference between a 5 year college player and a 2 year college player at the QB position. Very obvious how much better Burrow was from an experience standpoint. I think Lawrence is maybe better athletically, but at this point I think Joe B is a better QB due to experience and maturity.

I don’t think you really can say experience. Lawrence had just as much game experience as Burrow. Not to mention the experience of already starting and winning college playoff and National Championship games. Now being older Burrow definitely more mature.

He has spent 3 more seasons in a QB meeting room, had many more practice reps, and been exposed to 2 different staffs, actually 3 with Joe Brady. He has learned far more about preparation, pre-snap reads, film study, etc. Plus, he's about 24...4 more physical years than Lawrence. Just my opinion.

Now seeing a video of Coach O addressing a silent locker room and talking about all they had done through the year only for OBJ to start screaming "y'all did this" to interrupt the speech and silence... really weird that he knows directly where the camera is when he glances at it to be sure it's on him too.
