January 1, 20206 yr I don't like the punch, and I agree with others who say that Stoops isn't the greatest disciplinarian. UK sure seems to get into stuff like this a lot. Having said that, I also can't deny that whatever Stoops is doing appeals to his kids. They seem like they'd run through a brick wall for him. What he's done at Kentucky...I didn't think it could be done.
January 1, 20206 yr I hate all that scuffle culture. With that said this incident seemed out of character for Bowden. Hokies sure showed there rears all week, and I’m glad to see Bowden got some revenge. I think ESPN only had film of this incident and showed it without the narrative of what was happening prior to it. Dick Gabriel reported that a Hokie threw a punch just prior I believe but nothing has been spoken about that.
January 1, 20206 yr His car was also burglarized Before the game as well. I’d be ready to punch someone as well. Kentucky Wildcats: Lynn Bowden’s car was broken into prior to Belk Bowl - A Sea Of Blue

January 1, 20206 yr Did he drive to the game himself? Could have been that his family drove his car down.
January 1, 20206 yr Could have been that his family drove his car down. Who knows, sounds like the Belk Bowl is gonna help him out which is cool.
January 1, 20206 yr Did he drive to the game himself? From what I've heard several players had vehicles there. Not sure why unless it was so they could drive to spend New Years with family after the game.

January 2, 20206 yr They were going to the beach after the game. No way the Seniors are coming back to Lexington.
January 30, 20206 yr I was rewatching the end of the game just now. With 1:01 left ball on the 26, 4th and 1...Bowden runs a QB draw for an apparent 2 yard gain and a first down. Bowden is stripped of the ball as he is being pushed forward and #34 for Va Tech comes up with the ball. You can see #34 laying on the ground as Bowden is pushed past him. When #34 stands up he has the ball. Bowden is given progress and a first down, yet he apparently lost the ball before being drug down or the play being blown dead. VaTech sideline goes crazy, no idea why they didn't call a timeout. UK quick snaps before a replay is shown and then goes on to win. Should have been VaTech ball, three knees and they win. I'm happy UK won, I just can't brag about it to my VaTech buddy any longer.

However, since they ruled forward progress was stopped, I think that made the play unable to even be reviewed and why replay or Virginia Tech didn’t do try to stop it.

I have no problem with the win and reminding them of it when I get the chance. :lol2::walk:
January 31, 20206 yr For sure making the trip if Kentucky plays in another Bowl game next year. I'm hearing the last 2 were awesome.

If they want to slow the game down then get it right. Hill's knee was down before the ball came out on that last drive. Bengals run the clock out and they get their 1st playoff win in what it feels like a century. Maybe or maybe not did the ball came out of Bowden's hands before he was down but sometimes just because you're being pushed forward that your forward progress isn't or wasn't stopped. Again maybe or maybe not. Just my opinion.
