Traditionally Male will have the skill players, but their linemen may not always be up par with Trinity and St. X. The last few years Male's linemen and skill players are equal in talent level which is what allows them to be an outstanding football team. It can go either way because both teams are very good, but I think at the end of the day Male has a few play makers on the field than Trinity will. Similar to the regular season game where Male's QB just threw the ball up to Cummings and he comes down with it for the game winning TD; things like that happen when you have big time players on the field.

No, it's built into the ticket price.

Wolfe knows how to beat Beatty. He's got eight wins over the Rocks since 2013. That's got to be way more than any other active coach. He's beaten them in the regular season, for region titles, and in the semis, but never for a state title. I think he'll check that off the list this Sunday.

This reminds me of the Trinity -StX rivalry from the mid to late 2000’s. X would win the regular season game and had what was considered the better team yet Trinity would turn the tables in the playoffs or championship game and get the win.

I think Male has the better offense this year with a great RB in Jaylin Bross, big WR’s, and a monster offensive line. I don’t see any D1 players on the Trinity offense. However, the Trinity defense gets the nod with 4 potential D1 players in Ely, Dingle, White and Roberson. They are tough to run on. I’ll give Coach Wolfe a slight coaching edge with his recent dominance in the rivalry. I predict the game will be won with special teams so give me Trinity 17 - Male 14 in a thriller.
