Covington Catholic looks unstoppable after, what many are calling, one of the biggest wins in school history. Highlands is not quite where they want to be, but is coming off a decisive victory. Will the Colonels continue steamrolling opponents this week? Or, will records and accomplishments be thrown out the window in this Northern Kentucky rivalry? Can Highlands stop the Colonels?

CovCath has to avoid an emotional letdown after the big win over LaSalle. It's cliche, but it's a rivalry game on the road. Anything can happen.

I say CC by two touchdowns.

Anything can happen in a rivalry game on the road. The Colonels were heavy favorites last year and barely won 21-14. Even in the playoff game last year it was only 7-0 at halftime before we went on to win 36-0.

CCH should win by 3 to 4 td's but we shall see. They better come ready to play.

Covington Catholic 28-21.

Had the same conversation with someone on Saturday. I'm confident that the coaching staff will be working HARD to ensure that it doesn't happen, but the Colonels need to stay humble and hungry when they head into Fort Thomas on Friday.

I don't know if it's been addressed elsewhere or not, but does anyone know why this one is being played at Highlands for a second straight year?

I like the Colonels by at least 2 touchdowns, but if the rumors are true that both Huddy and Buten will be on offense, this will be a different Highlands team than we have seen yet this year.

35-14 Let's go Colonels!

This will be the seventy-first meeting of these two teams. They first played on Sept 20, 1968. The series record stands at 49-21 in Highlands' favor, with a regular season record of 36-15 and a playoff record of 13-6, both also in Highlands favor.

In the last 10 years, the series record has been 12-4, once again in Highlands' favor, but Covington Catholic has won the each of the last 4 meetings straight by a 33 point scoring margin averaged over the 4 games.

Beginning of the new district alignments. CovCath had 6 home games this year, so if Highlands game was at home, would have 7 home games. I guess the Cooper or Boone games could have been flipped to away and Highlands at home, but either way it works out to in the two years of the regular season contract, 1 game will be in Park Hills and 1 game will be in Ft. Thomas.

It’s unfortunately, gonna get a lot worse in the Fort.

28-7 CCH

Assuming this one is going to be a sell-out since it will be at Highlands.

Anyone here planning on being at David Cecil Memorial Stadium for this one? I'm going to see if I can make it up from Louisville for the game.
