Especially parents who kids are not playing and they are convinced it is because the coach is being unfair to their little darling. Heaven forbid the kid starting ahead of their child may actually be a better player.

Last I have heard, Rob Mullen is still a very strong supporter of Beatty. So long as the president of the school has his back, everything else is trivial.

Today's parents of athletes are the worst group of people to listen to about a coach.

I almost never disagree with you Deuce, but I disagree with this. There comes a time for every legendary coach to hang it up. Only problem, sometimes the legendary coach doesn't realize it is time. I don't know if that time has arrived for Beatty, but it comes for everyone at some point.

 

I Agree 100% I think Sam Harp stayed too long at Danville. Sometimes it's just time to hang it up and move on.

I didn't say that. My buddy's son is a starter, and has been for 2 years with one left to go. He has multiple D1 offers.

Huh? I was referring to you or anyone particular. Just that parents I hear griping, lack of sonny boy playing time is more than half the cause.

A resounding no. He can stay for numerous more years if he wants. If this year or next year he decides to retire, the next time I see him, I will give him a heart felt congratulations and thank him for making Trinity a regional super power in football. After that, in my mind I will feel sorry for the poor son of a gun who takes his place.

How long has he been HC at Trinity and how many titles does he have now? Where does he rank on all time coaching wins list vs previous Trinity coaches? Apologies if these questions were addressed earlier in this thread.

From 2010 through 2019, inclusive, he has won 7 state championships. His record at Trinity is 244-44. He has 14 state titles in his career. I believe he has just completed his 20th season at Trinity.
