Agree on Terry Wilson's weakness.

After seeing him in the first two games this season, he is still hesitant to throw the ball downfield, ON TIME. He still holds the ball, waiting for a receiver to clearly be open before he releases it. Trust me, UK's wide receiving corp would have to be excited about having a veteran like Sawyer Smith under center. They can run a crisp route and be confident that the ball will be thrown to them, ON TIME.

I don't think losing Terry Wilson is a make or break for the season. Sawyer is a Florida panhandle kid who had offers from schools like Central Florida, Mississippi State, and Syracuse out of high school. Nothing would please him more than to beat the Gators. He played and played well in Neal Brown's pass happy offense at Troy. He is seasoned and will play well the remainder to the year. He is no Terry Wilson, but he'll keep the defenses honest with his feet as well.

This is no slam to Touchdown Terry. I think he was developing/improving very nicely, and was a proven winner (10-3 record as a starter). Terry Wilson's quickness and escapability will be missed against a quick defense like Florida, but Sawyer will get the ball out ON TIME to his wide receivers.

I really want to pick UK in this one and I do believe it will be a great game, but I just think Florida’s skill players will be too much for the UK defense. I’ll take Florida 27-20.

Are you saying he’s an upgrade over Terry?

I think Florida wins a close one. For what it's worth, I would have said the same thing if Terry was playing. Florida is Florida and Kentucky is Kentucky. It was hard enough to beat them once in 30 years, I just don't see it happening twice in two years.

I am saying he is a different type of quarterback with good experience who will perform adequately while filling in for Touchdown Terry.

I think Smith will play a lot better than what most people think, Cats, 28-24

I believe in our QB, Smith. He has a better down field arm than Wilson, and that should open up the playbook a lot for Gran, and shouldn't hurt the run by commitee of Rose, Smoke, and Rodriquez either.

Cats win 31-10. Jump on 'em early and win big.

Florida is going to score less than half the amount Toledo did? Interesting.

I was able to see and meet a lot of people at Quarterback. None of these guys are perfect and great quarterbacks. They just have admirable qualities that helped them win games.

Gunner Hoak did not work for UK because he was a Shannon Dawson recruit built for a Shannon Dawson idealistic offense that played for Eddie Gran. He was not a great leader like Stephen or Terry but he had good arm strength. He just did not fit the system.

This is not a knock on any player because I enjoyed all moments of being with them but this is my opinions of how the team atmosphere was and what it looked like from watching practice everyday for 5 seasons.

Leadership:

1) Stephen Johnson(His Body Frame failed him)

2) Terry Wilson (He Hesitates and the game is too fast for him sometimes)

3) Sawyer Smith (Never played at level of SEC)

4) Patrick Towles (He cared too much of what everyone thought of him and it got to him)

5) Danny Clark (Deep Ball accuracy was non existent)

6) Gunner Hoak (Did not fit Eddie Gran's System)

7) Drew Barker (Could not fully grasp leadership of the locker room)

That being said I think Sawyer will be fine. His experience should help. I just hope he has that natural leadership ability that Terry and Stephen have.

Gators 31. Cats13.

28 - 24 Kentucky.

Sawyer Smith is ready for this challenge. Kentucky defense is better than expected even with Josh Allen gone.

A chance to start a new streak - at home.

Will be there on the outside. Tickets a bit to pricey to be inside at Commonwealth. The place should be nuts all day. Finebaum broadcasting from campus now.

This is the most meaningful SEC game this weekend.

Huge recruiting weekend for UK. All of the top kids on campus, a win would land 1-2 right away I bet.
