What was your first concert?

Featured Replies

I don't do a lot of concerts, but saw Seven Mary Three at Riverbend back in the 90's.

Let's hear yours.

Paul McCartney’s Wings Over America Tour. Cincinnati May 1976. Almost two months shy of 17.

1982 Stevie Nicks in Cincinnati with my dad. The first concert on my own was 1990 The Exploited w/ Biohazard at Bogarts.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. I was probably 5 - 1965 maybe? My dad was a cellist in the orchestra for 44 years.

First concert was Arlo Guthrie at the band shell in Covington Devou Park when I was young.

My first concert without my parents, haha, was Pepsi Jammin' On Main in 1996. Also Seven Mary Three. I got tear gassed :lol2:

1977 at the coliseum Elvis!

Don't know the year but it was long enough ago Def Leppard opened for Billy Squier. Saw it at Dayton or Cincy Gardens can't remember that either.

Van Halen 1984. 13 years old (turned 14 2 weeks later) went with my cousins who were a few years older than me. I was completely amazed, and it still is one of the best experiences of my life. I'll never forget they opened with "Unchained" and just killed it.

First one was the Christian rock band Petra, at Malone College back in '83. First one at a true music venue would've been the following year, seeing Amy Grant at Blossom Music Center (Cleveland's version of Riverbend).

Lil Wayne at KSU Homecoming back in the day.

Chubby Checker and the Fatboys. Late '80s.

I was on my way into that show when all hell broke loose and my girlfriend (now wife) an I decided to turn around. I did catch their show when they came back to Riverbend on the second stage an it was fantastic.

No idea about my first concert. I went with my parents probably 30+ times to Tombstone Junction where we saw most of the biggest touring acts of the late 70's.

First rock show was Van Halen at Stokely in Knoxville, it was festival seating and OMG what a mess. BTO opened for them.

That was the 5150 tour right? First one with Sammy. I caught that one too. Not in Knoxville, but in Landover, MD.

Yep!

I had to go into work at 5 a.m. that day, so that I could get off. I was so tired, I slept through BTO...:lol2:
