June 6, 20197 yr Two. The first was when I was going to a convention in Kansas City; the cop got me right as I crossed the state line from Missouri into Kansas... and the speed limit changed. The second was just after crossing the Lincoln Bridge into Southern Indiana on Thanksgiving morning two years ago. The lesson here is that you shouldn't leave Kentucky. It's dumb out here. Years ago I drove my roommate’s family from Morehead to Norwood. When we crossed the Maysville bridge, the dad had this to say. “Now Baltimore (his nickname for me), we are entering the country of Ohio. Watch how you drive.”
June 6, 20197 yr Six. The first one was for something I’ve literally never met another person who has received it - following too closely. Got that in Portland, Tennessee. Second one was for a rolling stop. The other four were speeding, ones I fully earned.
June 6, 20197 yr Three. A. Wrong way on a one-way street. Visiting an old girlfriend after year one of college and they had changed the traffic patterns in her neighborhood. Here's the irony. I didn't have a checkbook so my parents paid the fine, but the check was returned because it had to be on the defendant's account. I was out another 40 cents because I had to buy a money order. 2. Expired tags. D. Speeding. Just south of Mount Orab, Ohio where the limit goes from 55 to 45 to 35 in about fifty meters. Well, I'm exaggerating just a little. But not much.
June 7, 20197 yr Does DWB count? Did you get a ticket for that? I'm rather familiar with the Kentucky Revised Statute's and DWB is not in there.

June 7, 20197 yr One. I got my drivers license in 1970 and my first and only ticket was in 2009 for running a red light coming down a hill from University of Cincinnati Hospital. When I saw the blue light I didn’t know what I was being pulled over for. When he said I ran a red light I was surprised because I sure didn’t see one and the 3 other occupants in my van said they didn’t either. Didn’t matter. It was either pay a $115 traffic violation fine or drive back to Cincinnati from southeast Kentucky to be in court. So I just mailed them a check and let it go.

June 7, 20197 yr I've had four unfortunately, all speeding. I don't know what they call it but I took that class/test to have them removed or at least so my insurance didn't know for 3 of them. The 4th was in OH.
