"Trinity is not the team they have been in the past. I like Ryle in this one."

You know there General old buddy... you may have a point there. The Trinity teams of the past may have beaten the number 3 team in the nation (Male) by more. I think I'll play this hand though and do just fine.

Is High School football in TN that much better than it is here in KY?

^ You are basing your entire opinion on a game played months ago. It was MBA's 2nd game our first. Just as you Raiders are boasting how much better your team has gotten, we kinda think our guys have improved a bit too. If you don't believe me please contact Henry Clay and Male.

Wow this is some good ole' smack talking....like a T/X thread!

I am not a Ryle fan. Just a fan of high school sports in KY.

It just hurts to admit to TN high school fans that are best high school team in KY couldn't even beat a below average team in TN - even if it was the first game of the year.

^ we had them down by a bunch and let them back...I hold no worries with that...we are still playing...and I feel we would beat them handily now...we were REALLY young at the beginning of this season, starting something like 17 new players...with only about 4 of the 22 graduating this season.

Hmmmmmmmm....

^ hmmmm what?

Nick had a terrible groin....rest your laurels on that result and watch.

I haven't seen Ryle play this year, but I am sure of one thing. You don't get to the state finals without being very good. It is a one game series so Trinity will have to be very focussed and come out with a strong early effort. There has been a lot of smack talk in this thread. That is fun, but the reality its that Ryle has a good team that is playing for a title. The other reality is that NOONE will intimidate Trinity with "physical" play. Ryle will score some points, Trinity will score more. Make it Trinity 35, Ryle 21.

What about the KY/Tenn all star game? Hasn't Kentucky done better the last five years?

Beat Dixie back to back, just a little overconfident in the Boone game. And a common opponent with Boone was Campbell, beat badly by Ryle twice but Boone couldn't handle them in the playoffs. Nobody close to the Raiders in NKY this year.

You're going to judge if Boone was close to Ryle by a common opponent instead of the actual game. Boone ran into CC early which is a very bad match-up for them having to defend that kind of offense. To say nobody is close to Ryle in NKY is a joke my man.

Very early? What are you talking about, it was the last game Boone played. And that was my point, both teams played Campbell late in the season and Ryle beat them twice.

Ran into them early as in the playoffs. Everyone who knows anything about Boone knows that CC was a terrible match-up for them. No doubt in my mind they would have beat Dixie if they played them 1st round.

I was going to pull for Ryle but I have changed my mind! GO Rocks!!!:ylsuper:

As much as I would love to see Ryle pull off this victory, I agree with Trinity alum on the outcome. Trinity 35-21.

Can someone tell me when Coverdale returned to Trinity? I thought he left to coach in IN after the 2001 season and did not know he had returned.
