Congrats on being rude........

They aren't on the KHSAA site, where did you get them? Are they regular season numbers or do they include the playoffs?

Sure they are. Go to football then 2006 playoffs stats then click on Ryle stats. They are up to date, check it out. Please keep your personal comments to yourself.

Can someone tell me when Coverdale returned to Trinity? I thought he left to coach in IN after the 2001 season and did not know he had returned.

He returned this summer.

I do believe that this year is his first back from IN.

Ryle is beat down like all NKY AAAA teams against X, Trinity or Male

34-7

Coverdale is more than likely the best OC in the state. The game is worth watching just for his offense alone from my POV. I am looking forwarding to seeing Ryle's ground game again. They seem to do a very god job of finding the best matchups there which is often over looked fromt he stands.

I am not a Ryle fan. Just a fan of high school sports in KY.

It just hurts to admit to TN high school fans that are best high school team in KY couldn't even beat a below average team in TN - even if it was the first game of the year.

The MBA team that beat Trinity early in '06 suffered injuries like no other MBA team has ever seen soon thereafter. MBA lost its #1 QB in the Trinity game to a torn ACL, and his backup that engineered the Trinity win was lost two weeks later for the season. MBA was relegated to a sophomore QB with no experience for the last six games, and therefore a single-wing offense that was virtually a complete 180 from the offense MBA typically employs. In addition, nine other starters were lost at some point during the season. While MBA is private, for a school with about 30-40% the number of male students as Trinity, those were huge losses. Combine decimating injuries with what was once again a tough league, and you have a 4-6 record that is somewhat misleading.

Was MBA a below average team at season's end? Absolutely. But MBA's program remains second in Tennessee in all-time wins, and there's no shame in the Trinity loss to that program (nor that team at full manpower in Week 1) early in the year.

Good luck to both squads this weekend.

I haven't seen Ryle play this year, but I am sure of one thing. You don't get to the state finals without being very good. It is a one game series so Trinity will have to be very focussed and come out with a strong early effort. There has been a lot of smack talk in this thread. That is fun, but the reality its that Ryle has a good team that is playing for a title. The other reality is that NOONE will intimidate Trinity with "physical" play. Ryle will score some points, Trinity will score more. Make it Trinity 35, Ryle 21.

Took the words right from my mouth.

I must say I am very impressed with Ryles fan base, on Bluegrasspreps. Almost 31 % of the votes saying Ryle will win the State Championship over Trinity! What would BGPreps do without the Union area???

On a more serious note I say Trinity by at least 4 scores.

Can we ban Diamond Dandy from these Ryle threads? Just like in baseball, many of his comments are an embarassment and do not reflect the views of the great majority of Raider fans. I think that cshs81, who I believe is a CovCath fan, could second this motion. I personally get tired of the exaggerations. Ryle is peaking, Benke and Petrino are both good QB's at running and passing, Ryle is much better at THIS point in the season than most people realize. Kinda like what the Steelers did in the NFL last year. It will be a great game between two very good and well-coached teams. Would not be surprised by either team winning.

Ryle isn't the JV team a lot of Trinity fans are acting like, but at the end of the day they are not on the same level as Trinity. Trinity is fast, well coached, fundamental, and they won't make many mistakes. Can Ryle win this game? Yes, thats why they play them, but it will take an incredible performance from Ryle and some mistakes by Trinity. I think the Raiders will hang with them through the first half and then Trinity will just pull away.

I'll post a disclaimer. I don't necessarily agree with your post either buy I'am not compaining about it.

The Raiders are playing great football right now...Against mediocre at best teams. IMO Meade County and Henderson County would not have even made NKY AAAA playoffs this year. Ryles toughest games came against NKY teams, they havent even been tested the last two weeks. IMO that has to hurt them a little.

If Ryle plays like they did vs. Hendo through 3 quarters (49-7 and then they started pulling starters so the 4th quarter was not a measuring stick), it will be a fabulous game to the surprise of many outside of Union.

Outside of Union????

I think everyone in Union will be suprised as well. Actually I think everyone in Union will be SHOCKED

Not true. Hey, in boy's soccer, everyone said Trinity would crush Ryle. Ryle 2, Trinity 1, (OT). And, in Europe, they told me that Ryle beat T in football, 2-1. :ylsuper:
