I agree... I voted for Ryle but it is definitely a heart pick. As much as I want Ryle to win... it's a long shot.

I think we were talking bout "The U" not FLO!

The Europe thing was facetious. My main point was that the Ryle's boy soccer team believed they could beat a favored T team and everyone else in the state said, "No way". The Ryle football team believes that same thing against the same popular opinion.

Difference is, Trinity football is much much better than Trinity soccer.

 

All things considered I expect a hard fought game. Only way I can really see this being a blowout would be if Trinity were to jump on Ryle in a similar fashion as to how they jumped on Henry Clay last week. 28-0 in the first quarter on a team that really hasn't had to throw the ball much this year could make trouble for the Raiders. I don't expect it to happen that way though.

The Raiders are playing great football right now...Against mediocre at best teams. IMO Meade County and Henderson County would not have even made NKY AAAA playoffs this year. Ryles toughest games came against NKY teams, they havent even been tested the last two weeks. IMO that has to hurt them a little.

This has been mine and LSU's sentiments, I think.

Coverdale never really had the monster lines Castle usually has while he was there, and after seeing that fit first hand, I think he took the wrong job. They had little talent and what he did have was more smashmouth geared. He could do well somewhere else where the fit and timing are better.

Watching those two games Ryle played , I think any of the 4 NKY Teams would have walked just like Ryle did ! I really think NKY 4A is starting to pull a little closer to the top then people think . (6A to be) :banana:

Murray has gotton many more carries in the playoffs than Gray. I said your post was being rude and it was.

 

 

They didn't rely on Murray until LATE in the year. Gray probably had more carries this year than Murray did. They are a good speed power 1-2 punch.

What was wrong about my post? Murray has had probably 75 carries the last 3 games. Every time I, or anyone has posted anything about Murray you've had a negative comment. Have I had any negative comments about anyone at T? I have said things like, "Ryle will need miracles to win," yet somehow my thinking Vince Murray is a special player is somehow a reach.....

Judging by the way Ryle walked through the playoffs, I think that any NKY 4A playoff team might be playing in the State Championship right now. Plus homefield advantage throughout the playoffs probably didn't hurt either.

Ryle has had a great year, they have come together as a team and their core group of seniors and juniors have worked hard for several years to earn their way to this championship game, getting stronger each week and overcoming adversity of some key early season injuries and stumbling against Boone They will bring their best to Papa John Thursday and leave it all on the field. Will that be enough to win? Time will tell and it will be fun to watch the competition. And thanks to the other NKY teams who really are part of this by providing the quality competition to push Ryle to become better. Especially Campbell, Dixie, and Boone, but not to take away for the others.

All the talk about comparing to different teams, different years, saying they cant do this, they will get beat at that really does not mean a lot with the game 3 days away. Lets watch our KY HS kids compete against each other in a big game, let the best team win while appreciating the accomplishments of whoever is the runner up. Our kids on both teams deserve compliments and encouragement.

And in case you cannot guess my loyalty, GO RAIDERS !!!
