Very good special teams all around, but their defense is very balanced at stopping the run and the pass. They are FAST.

Are they faster than Male and LHC?

No they are not. However, they are better coached defensively, and they give a lot more looks in their defensive backfield.

as some stated before, the only way Ryle will win is if they jump out fast and score. And then run, run and run some more to keep T's O off the field. BUt I think Trinity will win

I'd say they are close. Murray being 6'2" 225 playing middle linebacker and running a 4.6 or something absurd really helps. They fly to the ball and I haven't seen a defense (all 11) as fast as them in a while. They offer a lot of different packages and basically run a pro-style defense. The secondary has to come up with some big plays in order to compete with T, but I for one think they are capable.

I have been told that Minniefield runs a 4.6. I doubt that Murray is a legit 4.6. The speeds that people post on this site are absurd. One guy had a 2A school in central Kentucky with 3 sub 4.5 guys. Thats about how many they had at the Indy NFL combine.

That's why I said, "Or something absurd." The fact is he is incredibly fast for his size and is an animal at LB.

Murray ran a 4.61 at the Cincy Combine. I will agree about absurd times. Murray is very powerful, but his open field speed is impressive. However, Ryle is not a faster team than Male, but they do have very good team speed.

I haven't seen male, but Ryle's tackles and ends are even fast and take good pursuit angles (I'm sure you know this). The defensive coaching and schemes are excellent. Wolfe is a GREATmotivator and kids on defense will be ready to play.

I was agreeing about how absurd some of the times are that are posted on this site. I have never heard of so many 4-4's in my life. The Raiders will be ready to fight a battle. Despite what a lot of people from Louisville think, the Raiders are not physically outmatched in this fight.

I think you are a little confused. It wasn't Trinity fans claiming to have a physical advantage over the Raiders. It was the other way around. Check out all the posts boasting of Ryle's "physical style of play" and how many Raiders are "animals" and "beasts". The NKY faithful branded the Rocks as a "finesse team". I think the difference may be that that while the Rocks have seen a number of teams that do what Ryle does (albeit maybe not as well) , Ryle hasn't played a team with Trinity's balance. JMO.

It will be tell tell sign of who wins by who can establish the run first. The temp will drop 30+ degrees that day from the open end of PJCS. It will be raing and then snowing by the end so the forecast calls. Should be fun. The friday triple header is looking at a 50/50 chance of snow for the games. High of 34.

I agree that they have not played a team with Trinity's balance. I also know for a fact that Trinity football team are NOT soft in any way, nor have they ever been. My claim would simply be that this will be a hard fought battle between two well coached football teams with different philosophies. However, Ryle is very good at disguising and changing coverage. This is an area in which Male and Henry Clay were both lacking in every reguard.

I think only one person said that. On top of that Trinity is probably the most sound fundamental team in the state, each player knows their role and how to play their position very well. They don't make a lot of mistakes. They are also very fast, very strong, and very talented. But Ryle's style of play would be considered 'physical.' Thats just how they play. I think if I had to pick one of Trinity's attributes to epitomize them it would be 'fundamentally sound.' I don't mean that as an insult either.

Good luck Ryle! Bring it back to Nky.

I DON'T KNOW ALL THE STATS, BUT I DO KNOW THE RAIDERS HAVE A GREAT PASSION FOR THE GAME AND PLAY WITH A LOT OF HEART! LIKE ALL TEAMS WE HAVE OUR STARS, BUT ALL THOSE BOYS PLAY EXTREMELY WELL AS A TEAM ALWAYS ENCOURAGING EACH OTHER TO BE THEIR BEST! THEIR TEAM SPIRT IS INSPIRING AND THEY HAVE A GREAT BOND WITH THEIR COACHING STAFF WHICH HAS DONE A GREAT JOB!

REMEMBER RAIDERS 1-0. DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY THE HYPE, PLAY HARD, STAY FOCUSED, AND ENJOY YOUR MOMENT! GOOD LUCK WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU!
