Projecting Kentucky's 2019/20 Roster

Featured Replies

Kentucky added Ben Jordan 6'9" 250 from West Carter as a Walkon today. He is on baseball scholarship at UK. Ben played basketball in high school at West Carter. That makes 4 walkons to go with the 10 scholarship players.

Was told by someone who talked to his dad that due to some injuries they needed some big guys for practice to work against. Good for him.

Makes sense, given that Dontae Allen isn't practicing yet and Coach Cal never got another big guy like he'd hoped.

I got to go watch practice yesterday. I was impressed by the energy this team has. We will have a few bumps in the journey but come March this team could be very special.

Maxey was the MVP of that practice IMO. Has a D. Fox aura about him.

Love what he brings to the team. He also seems to be having fun. He is always smiling. Nick has to get better hands and he would be scary good. Could be the key to our success.

Richards' bad hands have been a problem his entire time at UK. If they are still bad, they aren't going to get better.

Brad Calipari is transferring to Detroit Mercy Per twitter. Detroit Mercy is a small d1 private catholic school. Good Luck to Brad.

Makes ya think he would've been good enough to make it at Pikeville or Georgetown then.

He will not play at Detroit nor would he have played at Pikeville or Gtown.

Swing and a miss.

Brad Calipari came off the bench and went 4 of 6 from three for Detroit Mercy last night. He was their leading scorer with 13 points.

Got his points late in a 30 pt loss, hadn’t scored the previous 2 games, let’s see how things go remainder of season but glad he got a little time last night.

That's completely inaccurate regarding when he scored his points. I had a small feeling the conversation might go in that direction, so I jotted down a few things early in case anyone was interested:

Brad made his first three pointer with 8:45 to go in the first half, putting his team up by 2 points.

He made his second three pointer with 2:32 to go in the first half, putting his team up 3 points.

They were down 2 at half time.

He made his third three pointer with 12:51 to go in the second half, which was actually a 4 point play, putting his team down 11 points.

He made his fourth and final three pointer with 8:49 to go in the second half, putting his team down 15 points.

Not even close to garbage time minutes, nor garbage time points.

You were correct that it was the first time he scored. He played 14 minutes in both the Titans first and second games, but did not get a bucket. He played a total of 26 minutes last night.

He’s probably a 6-10 ppg kinda guy.

Brad Calipari is currently averaging over 20 minutes a game, averaging 6 points a game, and making threes at one of the highest percentages in the nation. Not to mention just scored 12 points in a game against Notre Dame the other night. Yet you didn’t think he would be able to play at Detroit or Pikeville or Georgetown for that matter.

I think it is safe to say your evaluation of him has been way off.

I believe hes made the second most threes on the team, only behind Davis. And shooting almost 50% from deep.

Was the leading scorer with 20 points tonight in 33 minutes in a close loss to Toledo.

Brad is playing a little better than I anticipated on that 1-9 team.

Man just give up already. You were wrong about him and so just move on. As I told you, you were basing your opinion on him from what you seen of him back when he was a junior in high school. As I tried to tell you players do get better, especially when he was playing against top players in practice every day the last few years.

We get it you don’t like Calipari, but at lest time to admit you were wrong about Brad. Without trying to still throw a shot at him by talking about their record. Which you may want to look at how their schedule ranks as one of the toughest in the country at this point of the season. So he is doing this against good competition. I guess if they were winning against bad competition you would then say we’ll look at who they were playing.

We’re all wrong on this site from time to time. A lot more respect is given when you can at least admit it.
