Is the end of the AAF here already?

You are definitively our expert here ncf.

The 11th Commandment:

"I am the NFL thy football god, thou shalt not have any strange football leagues before Me."

The AAF is claiming the NFLPA is not cooperating and allowing the AAF to use their young players, thus making it difficult for them to be a "Developmental" league. Really why would the NFLPA let them use their players? Risk of injury alone is enough for any even borderline NFL player to say no.

I still say it's about money. I love football. But I've watched maybe one half of an AAF game, and it's just ok football. Since their opening weekend, I've paid zero attention to it, and would never pay to see a game, and I suspect most football fans feel the same way.

AAF football league in danger of folding, majority investor says

It wouldn't surprise me. I love football but just haven't had much interest.

Why would the NFL let their players play in this league? That was a pipe dream from the get go.

It is mainly guys that are on the practice squad, not necessarily on the active roster. Does the D-League have NBA players in it?

Mike Florio of PFT was talking about this today on the radio. He said the NFLPA would be crazy to allow players to play in the AAF, basically because NFL veteran backup players would essentially be allowing younger, cheaper talent to showcase their skills to the NFL in the off season and then take their jobs in the summer.

Once Johnny Manziel signed an agreement to play in the AAF about 10 days ago it was virtually guaranteed the AAF would fold.

Bingo!

Sorry so late to respond. The reasoning has been posted already. I like the league and hope it stays.

The G-League is a developmental league operated by the NBA. This is an independent league that the NFL owes nothing to.

This idea was doomed before it ever got started.
