Kentucky 62 Wofford 56 (NCAA Tournament Round 2)

Featured Replies

Cameron Payne, Kenny Payne's son. Hurt his knee last year and red shirted this year. Went to Lexingtin Catholic.

That thud was me smacking my forehead and uttering "duh". 73 year old brain appreciating the reboot.

No excuse not to carry 12 players. We have 8 and one is a walk on.

Hard to find a quality player and tell him to sit the bench his whole career.

Kentucky shouldn’t struggle so much to score against a team like Wofford.

That's how this team has been all year when Johnson and Herro aren't filling it up. They are playing without a Wooden Award finalist. Look at how Duke struggled without Williamson. I'm not saying PJ is on par with Williamson but he has been UK's best player especially the second half of the season. It's hard to replace that production especially this late in the season.

There are many kids in Kentucky with talent that would love to have a seat on that bench.

Now I have to sweat out the Murray State game.

AND like I said earlier UK did have a midseason transfer that was a starter for about half his time at UK before leaving. Kind of hard to anticipate that.

Not as many as you think are willing to sit and not play.

This year is a bit of an anomaly, most years we are trying to figure out how to fit everybody on the team with 12 scholarships.

Cats advance to their 8 sweet 16 in the last 10 years not to bad.

Defense was really strong, especially the guards chasing and shadowing McGee. I thought Herro and Baker especially did a lot of good work defensively.

Pretty good win without P.J.

Yea would love to see the Racers pull this out but I think Fla. State's length and athleticism will give them problems.

Team had 13 players, 1walk-on(David), 1 transferred, 2 redshirts (Payne, Calipari), 1 injured (PJ), Baker, Richards, Quickly, Herro, Hagans, Travis, Johnson, Montgomery.

Kentucky was extremely fortunate to win this game. I thought Reid got a very favorable foul call at the end. Not to mention a couple of missed layups from Wofford.

And Jackson from Wofford got calls his way the majority of the game. It is what it is. UK's defensive game plan was pretty solid for the most part. They survived the type of game that has cost them a few times this year.
