Anybody for the Rocks go 2 ways? I know Beatty hasn't been shy about playing his best kids both ways in the past. Does Agyei Williams only play on defense?

Male High is ranked # 3 in a national poll this week. I know that this has more to do with College polls but that number has been the downfall of some favorites as of late. Go ROCKS GO.

OK, I won't be near a computer much of Friday so I better make a pick now. I know a lot of talk back and forth in this thread.

 

Most of the time in a game like this, I would pick Trinity just based on sheer numbers and recent history.

 

But I don't think this is just a god Male team - it's a very good one.

Had a chance to watch the first half of the Male Manual game early this morning. I know it was just 24 minutes of play, but Male's secondary looked abyssmal. Manual, a team not known for its passing game, had numerous wide receivers open, sometimes by about five-ten yards. The quarterback often overthrew the receivers.

 

I thought Gainey threw in to coverage often. Saw a lot of tackle over, and when Beaumont is in the slot with quads, it's all verticals or the quick raise.

 

For those who have seen Male, how indicative is the Manual game?

You answered your own question, Male had over adjusted to stop the wing T and guys got more open than usual. Beumont will be the full time deep rover tonight and if the ball hangs at all he will be on it. I have never seen someone be able to cover the entire deep area like him.

Did X never audible to a pass when Beaumont was at the line of scrimmage?

 

Wow! That is surprising, if true, that Male was able to stop X's running game of Vic and The Deuce with its best player off the line of scrimmage focused on the pass.

I thought H was going to have his prediction at a noon press conf today??? (see post #25). I have dusted off the crystall ball and see we are in for a good game. Trinity will have the ball first and score. [Do not miss this play]. Male counters with a fg. By halftime T is up 21-13. Second half has Male roaring back....(I guess dogs don't roar...) Male barks back and takes the lead. In the 4th quarter and unlikely player makes an uklikely play that is unliked by the Male faithful. T wins 35 - 27.
