justme2018
I just can't believe that the players cited were only given one game suspensions. That is beyond me. I wouldn't think you'd want those players ever representing your university ever again.
BigColonel
That's just the ACC and the Sun-Belt. I think the NCAA will hand down their own punishment that may be more severe. A couple years ago, Clemson and South Carolina had something similar and forfeited post season bowls (not that FIU was going to one anyway), but look for the NCAA to do something similar and hit these teams in the pocketbook. cvillecat
I watched some of the brawl on ESPnews. I think some of those involved should face criminal assault charges. It was a total disgrace to college football and the teams represented.
All Play No Work
Listen to the comments by the color "analyst" during the brawl. I'm guessing he might not be doing anymore games in the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JWeE9KqZjQ&eurl=

STRIKE3
Disgraceful and should never happen, or be tolerated in College athletics.

Deadspin.com points out , Lemar has a "history:" • Arrested and jailed for aggravated battery for attacking his pregnant fiancee with a deadly weapon. • Arrested for violating probation. • Detained for brandishing a handgun and threatening suicide, prompting authorities to check him in to a mental institution. • Did jail time for again violating probation related to the battery charges, when he was arrested for choking his fiancee. His six-month old son was present at the scene.
DragonFire
The #1 players that should be suspended for the rest of the year are the guy swinging the helmet as a weapon, and the one pulling a Marcus Vick, stepping on legs with his cleats. Now, they can say FIU started it all they want, and maybe they did start the actual fight. The #1 reason it began was because that jerk caught a TD pass and thought he was really something, bowing to the crowd.

Brewsky
The link posted above made me go    Disturbing to say the least. #26 for Miami was trying to hit people with his helmet and #19 for Miami was stomping on people with his cleats. You may recall he was the guy who was streaking for a TD when Gene Teague hunted him down like a hungry cheetah, took the ball away from him, and headed the other direction. cshs81
Here's commentary from Michael Rosenberg of Fox Sports: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6066906?FSO1&ATT=HMA This comment by Coker has sealed his already doomed fate: "I think that it will affect the image of our program greatly, but in a positive way," he said, according to the Miami Herald. "I think that when they see the video and they see how it was handled they will be impressed with our players."
