Holy Cat Stevens!

Looks like the result if me and lawn played one on one..:lol2:

Really kind of an unavoidable result. Holy Cross is very good, and very deep, and Beechwood is barely able to field a team. Last year, HC beat Beechwood by 30+ I think and Beechwood had a D1 player and another senior who went on to play college basketball so the loss of those two, along with the fact that HC has a load of returning talent, were the reasons this score wound up the way it did. No malevolence or unsportsmanlike behavior here.

I wouldn't beat you that bad, I'd at least let you get to 20. :lol2:

Now if I was playing that one Highlands girls coach, he wouldn't see double digits.

JV was 50-0. I have never seen no points in a high school game

Half Time was 48-2. Seemed a little over the top.

Beechwood didn't have enough 8th graders to field an 8th grade team so the 8th graders play JV and varsity. all of the beechwood players playing right now on JV and varsity are 8th, freshman and sophomores. The only returning player from last year varsity is hurt and she is the lone player from the upper class. Going to be a rough year so hopefully in a few years they can be competitive.

This score is a little over the top. You get a running clock at 35 point spread in high school and Beechwood only scored 11 so guessing Holy Cross hit that running clock while in the 40s. To push another 40 some points on with a running clock says you didn't really ever put the brakes on at all. Wouldn't 50-11 be good enough? Really it's amazing with clock running they got to 88. I'm sure the tempo stayed at a high rate of speed. Guess to each their own.

^^^^This. For whatever reason, the clock didn't "run" until 4th quarter or late, late third quarter at best. Beechwood is EXTREMELY young. Almost all their kids played both the JV and Varsity games. HC had an excellent shooting night and played the entire bench. Press called off after it was 12-0. The only thing HC could have done is hold the ball or play keep away and that is way worse than just letting them "play."

We have seen this before with scores form HC.

Don't start that Cap. No one has a problem when the Beechies win a football game 60 to 0. Can t have it both ways.
