My lord, what does Beechwood football have anything to do with this girls basketball game? There is nothing wrong with either score.

I heard the Holy Cross starters played in the 4th, but lets pretend like they didn't.

 

If the starters were playing in the 3rd quarter when the score was 48-2 (with a running clock) tells you all you need to know about whether the score was being run up.

 

You heard wrong. HC played One Soph, Two Frosh, an 8th grader and a 7th grader for a good chunk of the SECOND quarter, some of the THIRD quarter and ALL of the FOURTH. Give it a rest. Nothing to see here... move on.

A lot of great individual girls and great teams out there this year that deserve the six pages instead !!

Last comment on this... this score will not be an aberration after Beechwood plays the other top ten schools on their schedule. The JV score was 50-0 with a running clock and basically the same Beechwood kids played both games. Like another poster said, hopefully this year will help Beechwood in the years that follow. They are very young. I wish them well. Put simply, however, there was absolutely no attempt to run up a score in either game and anything to the contrary is #fakenews

Welcome to BGP. There is a thread about it every year in every sport. Just bummed this one happened so early in the season. We could see another just like it later on when we have forgotten about this one. Good to hear fresh opinions.
