Big time statement by Danville. I figured they would win, but not anything like this. After this, I’m convinced that they are the team to beat in 2A of all remaining.

I could see early that LCA was in trouble. They just aren't the same without Nieves. They played an outstanding 2nd quarter to get it to 14-7 but Danville just went to another level in the 2nd half. McClurg was under distress all night long. Wheatley took a lot of punishment and just couldn't really break away from the speedy Danville defense. At the end of the day...too much speed for LCA on both sides of the ball.

Way to go Ads. These last two weeks are going to be something. Sad that my Colts won't be part of it, but that's the way it goes. CAL-Mayfield in War Memorial should be a classic!

If it is Danville/CAL in the final (lots of bridges to cross, I know), I'm curious to how Danville will move the ball against the CAL defense. That was a problem last year. I'm not so sure Danville is a head-and-shoulders #1 team in 2A, but they sure do look good right now.
