October 5, 20178 yr I get where you're coming from, but that totally flies in the face of how the news works. All of us have been around long enough to where we should understand that part. But go on thinking that news media coverage somehow intends to glorify the event. I am not saying anything about intent in the media. I believe that the way we report one specific part of the news in these types of events should be changed. We should report the name of the assailant as anonymously as possible. Yes, we have to name the assailant initially. In fact, it probably serves a purpose in gathering information to publicly identify who the assailant is. But after initially identifying who the assailant is, stop naming him in follow up reports. Report away on the event itself, on his background and other information about motive etc., just don't include his name. I want to minimize publicity and recognition for the mass murderer.

The amount he had if I heard correctly would basically be enough to blow up a car.
