October 10, 20178 yr So apparently police had the time line off a bit. The security guard was shot before the mass shooting began. He responded to the 32nd floor for an alarm in a different room. Heard drilling in the shooters room. Was shot in the hall way. Police did not find him or know he was shot until they arrived on the 32nd floor. Police do not know why the shooter stopped shooting.

I know it was an hour and 10 minutes or so before they made entry, but weren't they outside the door within 10 minutes or so and he had stopped firing by then? If that's true, did he maybe stop shooting when he saw them arrive on camera outside his room? This entire thing is screwy and none of it really makes much sense...until they figure out a motive I don't think it will make much sense.

Yes I think it was the last song, I'd say guard did force his hand. But I also wonder what he was waiting on, it was about over. He very well could have had something else in mind...maybe the tour buses when he knew everyone would be on them right after the concert.

I think what everyone saying above is valid. This security guard cut into his plan, whatever it was and unfortunately, we’ll never know.

Saw one report it mentioned 200 rounds were fired into the hallway? I would think we would have been able to see that from the video taken just outside the room? Still waiting to see how many rounds he fired and how many of the injured were bullet wounds.

Considering the note with the ballistics calculations, would you think that his ultimate goal was some later event in that venue, or last minute calculations to hit a target of opportunity (the concert)?

I'm sure they wouldn't really have heard the shots that much since everyone initially thought out was something other than shots.
