October 4, 20179 yr Can someone start another thread called conspiracy theories about the Las Vegas shooting and post all of that stuff in there?
October 4, 20179 yr Saw somewhere that is a strobe light. Like someone else already said, the windows would be broken if someone were firing a gun out of that window. Strobe light would make sense, I hadn't read anything about a strobe light but that could easily be what is in those videos.
October 4, 20179 yr I've read hear and other places about how accurate this guy was and that he must have had advanced training. I completely disagree. He is shooting a fully automatic weapon firing 600-700 rounds per minute (for about 11 minutes) into a tightly packed crowd of 22,000+ people. All he had to do was point and pull the trigger, it's honestly a miracle that he didn't hit more than 600 people with a set up like that and firing from a relatively short distance.
October 4, 20179 yr No idea about the validity of this sight, but if these videos are accurate they appear to show muzzle flashes much lower than the floor this guy was shooting from. Las Vegas: Video Confirms Multiple Shooters, Co-ordinated Attack Again, I've stayed at Mandalay several times. The windows are solid, floor to ceiling, and cannot be opened. No way to do it without breaking the window which would be easy to spot after the fact. If there was a second shooter, they weren't doing it from Mandalay Bay.

October 4, 20179 yr I believe that is why he had some 10 or more re-modified with bump-stock. That allows one to discard the rifle and pick up another that is loaded and ready. Then so on. By the time you need to change out magazines you can pick up the first one, that has since cooled, and change the mag. If drums were used on any of them, that would add to the number of rounds that could be fired, wouldn't it? :idunno: There is nothing indicating ARs - modified or not used. The acoustics are complete off for AR to be the weapon(s). When I first heard the early videos you could tell there was changing rate of fire during a single full auto sequence. To me, it sounded a bit like a modern Gatling-gun that was hand cranked at inconsistent speed (a close match was Colt Bulldog if interested). But of course a Gatling gun was not used. So sort of dropped the gun accoustics angle until I saw where former military were pointing at the M249. Then I found that article posted earlier. And it had the explanation of the slight variance in rate (that you do not get with the AR bump). What Guns Were Used in Las Vegas Shooting? - The Red Elephants Binary and Echo triggers have variants in the cadence and do not keep steady pace. In the main video that has gone viral people have mentioned the break in cadence around the 56 second mark. That sounds exactly like a metal linked belted machine gun sounds like if the links snag and force a slow down in the rate of fire. Also the time between 100 round burst would also fall in line with the standard link amounts for nut sacks (belt feeding device for machine guns) and the reloading time. ... Drum mags do not slow a weapon, they will just jam it completely. A belt however, can slow down a machine gun without stopping it. Once the tension on the belt is relived the cadence will start back up to its original rate. ... That is why if I had to take a wild swing at what weapon was used I would guess it was a M240 Bravo or similar weapon system. This explained why on Monday night I heard a 'Gatling-gun' in the videos. Lots of oddities, gaps, mis-information (like when he checked in to the hotel), etc. . Unfortunately, if they involve ISIS terror cells or weapons-trading (to ISIS or others), etc. we will probably never get a straight answer for this tragedy.

No way to do it without breaking the window which would be easy to spot after the fact. If there was a second shooter, they weren't doing it from Mandalay Bay. From Twitter... Been trying to find a better, uncropped picture of the side of the building since Monday. It does seem like something that should be easily answered.
October 4, 20179 yr I read somewhere that at least one of his guns sort of melted down, that could have caused the slowing of fire as one gun began to fail and he switched to another one. I saw one of the leaked photos showing the shooter and empty cartridges all around his body before it was taken down. I did not see any belt links anywhere, I'm not saying there were none but I didn't see any mixed in with the ammo.

October 4, 20179 yr No idea about the validity of this sight, but if these videos are accurate they appear to show muzzle flashes much lower than the floor this guy was shooting from. Las Vegas: Video Confirms Multiple Shooters, Co-ordinated Attack I’m thinking that’s a strobe light.
October 4, 20179 yr I’m thinking that’s a strobe light. Yeah after reading there was supposed to be a strobe light and looking back at it I agree.
October 4, 20179 yr Yeah after reading there was supposed to be a strobe light and looking back at it I agree. I posted before I made it to page 5 :lol2:
October 4, 20179 yr As far as the different sounds, wouldn’t it be possible that is due to the switching of platforms? Switching from the AR-15 to the AR-10 would change the sounds of gunfire as the AR-10 fires .308 which is a bigger round.
October 4, 20179 yr That concerts are very soft targets and need to be hardened. Could this be the end of open air concerts? Not that mass shootings haven’t happened in arenas but security is much easier to manage indoors than outdoors.
October 4, 20179 yr Fox 19 in Cincinnati last night said another person had passed way...but I am struggling to find anymore info about that now. Damn media I believe the coroner said 58 victims and shooter. Believe previous number was off. Unless it changed since 6pm yesterday that is.
