Purdue is coming on quickly and if you notice a few kids from western Ky are showing up on that roster. I am sure these are kids he had his eye on when he was at Western.

Bramel just signed his NLI this morning for Purdue.

I don't buy that Purdue's QBs have no arms. Sindelar (from Caldwell Co.) can really wing it.

Sindelar throws an absolute laser. So hard in fact it is tough to catch. He is starting to get some touch on the ball now and should only get better in the off-season.

Other than Brohm, why would he go to Purdue? I just don't get it. Does he want to be an engineer after football?

With offers from Bama, Texas, Ohio State and the like I’m not sure what the attraction of Purdue is. If the reasoning is to possibly make it to the next level there are much bigger schools that can better aid in that process. Just my opinion but it is his next 4 years so whatever is going to suit the young man so be it. Good luck to him.

I'm not going to act like I know what it's like

to be in the young mans situation. But Moore should have next level thoughts in his mind IMO. While going to Purdue doesn't necessarily eliminate that opportunity, but how many times do we see players at Bama or OSU start 1 year and then go to the pros as a 1st or 2nd draft pick? Basically every year at this point. I understand that's not always their top priority, but I'm not sure what Purdue offers him outside of a really good education that Louisville doesn't. If he doesn't want to go to Texas, Bama, OSU he should stay home and go to UL IMO. I think it gives him a better chance to be competitive and probably a greater chance at reaching the next level due to increased exposure. Brohm is a great coach and he is recruiting the hell out of KY right now. But they have to know that if he is successful at Purdue he's not going to be there very long.

Getting the right "vibe" from a coach has to be important and I know Rondale was really impressed with Brohm. I've said it a million times it's better to be a big fish in a small pond. If you're good enough to play in the league they will find you but they can't find you if you don't play. Rodjay Burns learned that lesson. Bottom line is each player needs to pic the school that they feel gives them the best chance to fulfill their dreams. If it's Purdue, Louisville, or Kentucky Wesleyan if it's what is the best fit for the kid then it's good.

Moore is very fast. But the fact is he is 5’9. Not a lot of 5’9 receivers in the nfl. If it is Purdue, it’s hard to argue the numbers offensive skill players have put up in Brohm offense the past 4 years and the players that have been drafted into the NFL on his watch.

Once upon a time, the Boilers had a QB who was too small and wasn't going to play at the next level. Moore could be the current WR version of Drew Brees: the little engine that could.

What happens if Moore is not good enough to play in the NFL? It's not like he can go to Lithuania to play and get paid. A degree from a great academic school would then mean a lot. As an example, Ryan White from Trinity is getting his degree from Vandy and was a captain on this year's team. He's not NFL caliber but he's done quite well for himself with no cash outlay from him or his family for college education (probably at $50,000 to $55,000 annually). I think if you're good enough, the NFL will find you regardless of where you are.

Yes. And he played at Central Michigan. It’s not about what school you play. If you can play, the NFL knows about you. One of the top receivers for the first place Jacksonville Jaguars played at Kentucky Wesleyan. Where is James Quick playing?

It's all about what his goals are. If his goal is to get to the league, its ignorant to act like Purdue is the best place for that. If his goal is to get a degree in an STEM field then Purdue makes a ton of sense.
