September 24, 200619 yr Did anyone see Marvin Lewis's post game speech in the lockerroom? A nice little speech. After hearing that, if C. Johnson does any complaining after the game, then he's definitely going to be in Coach's doghouse. I saw that LRCW, I thought hat it was a classy speech by Lewis and yes I do think that part of it was aimed at CJ. He also I believe was trying to send a message that ALL games were going to be tough and to kill the war of words with the Steelers in saying "those guys over there are one heck of a team and so are we" and as how he put it "Win with Class!" I think that could have also been directed at CJ and his apparent attitude problem with not getting the ball as much as he wanted to.
September 24, 200619 yr Oh really or was it the bike wreck, or lack of desire and therapy,.. I've lost alot of respect for Ben over the years... Over all of his 2 years in the NFL, one with a SUPER BOWL RING? That's foolish. He'll never be Palmer but he'll be ok.
September 24, 200619 yr Oh well you weren't the star for one game don't be a baby act like a man. I love Chad but thats stupid if he cryies and pouts about not gettin the ball when we won a huge game. :thumb: :thumb: My thoughts exactly on CJ.
September 24, 200619 yr By the way, after the game Carson was quoted as saying, " I played like crap..." Which is exactly why he's on his way to being a GREAT quarterback. He works hard and he's not going to be satisfied with his performance.
September 24, 200619 yr Is anyone watching SportsCenter? Sean Sailsbury just stated that he believes the Bengals are not only the best team in the AFC, but the best team in the NFL. :scared:

September 24, 200619 yr Carson held onto the ball too long a few times and left it exposed on those fumbles. He needs to learn to throw it away sooner. The Steelers may be the nastiest defense I have seen in a while. They have so many athletic pass rushers it is just stupid. The O line for the Bengals broke down a couple of times but man if you have a 6'4 250 pound OLB rushing you and you are backpeddling.... it has to be extremely difficult. CP zinged them in there when he had to and made a tremendous read and throw on that Henry leaping catch TD in the 1st half. I think CP had trouble throwing into the wind and also he had to be very nervous with all the Steelers flying at him. Great Win Bengals !!! we are definitely for real. TJ "Pootie Tang" Houshomomma was once again a dagger in the STeelers as he nailed them for 2 TDs...one a fabulous concentration catch. I thought the two heros today were TJ and Chris Henry. Henry seemed to step it up after the CB pulled him down late out of bounds on that one reception. He definitely got the last laugh... although he did get is clock cleaned on a "Carson palmer hang me out to dry" toss. Bengals will be fine next week and hopefully we get Dexter Jackson back. Can you imagine when Chris Perry comes back after 6th week and what that will do to free up Rudi and him being keyed. It will spell him on 3rd downs and he will be a release for CP out of the backfield. And don't forget about Odell Thurman and his pass rushing ability. wow....we are going to be very good.
September 24, 200619 yr The best team in the AFC is semantically equivilant to best team in the NFL. Right now, anyway. :thumb: The NFC is pathetic......think about if the Bengals were in any NFC division... they would definitely be the favorite. I am not that impressed with the RAvens yet... they shut out a bad Tbay team and beat the hapless Raiders who cant score against a pop warner team. The Browns gave them that game today. The steelers are reeling with Reothlisberger playing like crap and are susceptible to going 1-4 after having to travel to San Deigo. Only AFC team I worry about is the COLTS !!!
September 24, 200619 yr If the Bengals looked bad and still won the game against one of the better teams in the league, what are they going to do to the other team when the play good? WHO DEY:dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

Next week tells us if New England still has anything. A season standard to getting in the playoffs is to win all your home games and half your road games. The Bengals are off to a great start especially on the road. You're right about INDY, I believe they are the team to beat. Speaking on the NFC. Just seems like yesterday when San Fran, Green Bay and Dallas were all duking it out for tops in the NFL. Funny how things turn in the NFL.
September 24, 200619 yr I TOLD YOU SO:) Big Ben is exposed again! WHO DEY!!!!! CJ needs to shut up and start being more productive in the big games. I know he gets doubled and that is why Henry did so well but the great one's get open in double coverage in the big games. I listened to Keyshawn go on this week about how great Chad is and how bad he makes himself look. He talked way to much smack to have 1 catch for 15 yards! He also hasn't gone over 100 yet in a game this year! I love him but he needs to spend more time getting back to the top then putting on a show. Porter honestly has a screw loose! It was fun seeing him and CJ go at it before the game!
