So you are pointing the AXE at Carson. His TO's had nothing to do with our O-Line today letting the defense take good shots at him constantly? I guess your right if he could run like Vick, he would have been able to dodge 2-3 defenders every other play.

Carson himself said he played like crap, what do you need to see it wasn't one of his best games?

He just doesn't seem like the same type of player or even more so the same type of person, he seems to me like a liar, he likes to embelish things. Maybe it was always their and I just didn't see it. But i certainly don't care for it.

Excuse me? He's a "liar" and likes to embelish (sic) things?" Where in the world do you get that? What did he do, date your sister once and dump her?

My dislike of UK hoops is mild in comparison to illogical behavior like this.

That's Carson being Carson. I don't think he would call his line out.

Who's hating on Carson? All they have stated is that Palmer didn't play like Palmer is capable of playing. He made too many mistakes, and Carson would be the first to say so. I see no hate.

Look back at what I said- I think Carson Palmer is one of the best QB's in the league. He just didn't play like it today IMO.

Give me a break, this is getting ridiculous...

 Oh man.

So Carson lied to protect his line, he played like a God today but is too humble to admit it?

Again you got me.. being sacked 6 times, probably hurried 10, is Carson's fault. I give up you win!

What's that have to do with the picks he threw when he had time?

This "argument" is over....

Congratulations to the Bengirls and their fans. Sorry that we had to suck today! Ben's passer rating was what???? 12!! The defense was quality as usual. I don't know why so many are wigged out about the TO's considering how few pts were scored into the wind that was horrible. The picks I didn't think were the difference. (hard to say that when you're staring at your endzone about to go up 2 touchdowns) But to muff a punt and give the ball back at the 15 and fumble on your own 30. Not hard to put up #'s from there. Bengals definitely have control, but for the CJs of BGP, it's a long season and I hope that when all is said and done that we have a playoff date again. Long road for the Steelers and no doubt are begging for the bye wk. Polamolu needs the 2wks. Ben needs to go see a sports psychologist (or as my 7y.o. said today "can't he see that they have on the wrong color") and possibly the eye doctor. Again, congratulations, hope to stick one back up your tails in Cincy!!!!

I know you can read. I was saying you didn't understand Palmer's role.

Look, lets start over. I want to give you a chance to really understand what's being said here.

OF COURSE he had better numbers. It's a given that he will. All I was getting at there is that it is the height of stupidity to compare Palmer and Roethlisberger straight up and say that because Palmer had better numbers, all is right with the world. If he doesn't have better numbers, we're on the verge of the Apocalypse.

What matters is the role they play on their teams. Roethlisberger isn't supposed to win games for the Steelers. He's a role player that, despite his (stupid) injuries and (no fault of his own) illness from the offseason, MIGHT develop into more but at the moment has taken a step back from what he was as a gamemanager in the playoffs last year.

Palmer, on the other hand, IS supposed to win games for the Bengals. They're setup as probably the premiere passing team in the league. They have a WR stable that the NFL hasn't seen since the '99 Rams, and Carson Palmer is the most important player on the team because it's his job to get it to them. If he's losing the ball too much, the Bengals' defense isn't going to usually be good enough to bail him out.

Against the Patriots or the Colts today, the Bengals would have been dusted and Palmer would be the goat. Celebrate the win, be happy, but don't act like the TO's don't matter just because Roethlisberger had them too.

If you think that the steelers only think Big Ben needs to be a role player then you must be crazy! He def. needs to play as one of the more effecient QB's in the NFL if the Steelers ever want to sniff the success they had last year. The Division and the NFL have stepped it up this year, and really Big Ben has played in about 4 or 5 straight games dating back to last year and the it's really starting to hurt them. Carson had 3 TO's. When you put it in the endzone 4 times through the air that sorta erases that fact, and you know Carson is an Elite QB. He isn't going to go out and have 3 TO's on a regular basis. As a Bengals fan and being realistic you can't be anything but impressed as to where Carson is at right now.
