September 25, 200619 yr Ben didn't play as bad as people are saying, IMO. . Wow. I'm a fan of Big Ben but he stunk it up with very poor throws/decisions. Yes, passes were dropped. That happens in every game. However, in what could have easily been a knockout blow, Ben threw a terrible pass that was nowhere near his receiver into about 4 defenders. IMO that cost them the game. The Bengals got the mo back on their side as a result of his poor decision and the game changed.
September 25, 200619 yr All i know is i loved it when Ward got smacked going across the middle. You dont see him drop to many passes. Anyone else see him kick our guy after he got laid out? No comparison to the shot on Henry by Clark, he got jacked up!
September 25, 200619 yr No comparison to the shot on Henry by Clark, he got jacked up! Henry took a good hit too, i just like it anytime Ward gets layed out. :ylsuper:

September 25, 200619 yr Henry took a good hit too, i just like it anytime Ward gets layed out. :ylsuper: He didn't have to be helped up like Henry, Hines is practicing for UFC, grappling and what not. One positive for the Steelers this week which is satisfying to me is that CJ will have to put a check mark in the Steelers "covered" box on his little chart. BTW, I wish Hines would cry a bit more, the last time he did we went on to win the SB

September 25, 200619 yr No that cry session was after New England beat them in Pitt for the Afc championship. Because the Bus stated to all he may not return.
September 25, 200619 yr I thought moral victories were for "Bengirl" fans... Nope, Bengirls got the real victory, so I have to take what's leftover..
September 25, 200619 yr Poor Whines Hard... Go ahead, I can take it! Hines has his ring to console him!:sssh:

I'm not trying to say he played great or anything, but people on here are making him sound like Ryan Leaf. The fact is, the Steelers win with defense and running. Ben's performance yesterday was no worse than how he played in the Super Bowl last year. The difference is that Pittsburgh lost. So, he gets more criticism. Roethlisberger hasn't proven to be an elite QB, IMO, yet he was elevated to that status by many people based more on the team's performance than his own. So, unfairly, he has to live up to elite QB expectations when he's not that good.
