KHSAA Football Finals Moved to UK for 2017 & 2018

Per Jason Frakes twitter, State football finals will be played at UK's Kroger Field 2017 and 2018. WKU has lost state football finals.

I have no clue about this at all, but putting 2 and 2 together, I am wondering if the Russell contract ending had anything to do with it. Weren't they a primary sponsor? Not trying to start anything just a question I had.

After WKU entered C-USA, that weekend became a big problem due to Western hosting the conference title game a couple times. Made the schedule a real pain. This was inevitable.
