People that make you cringe when they talk

Featured Replies

Doris Burke. Don't know why, but I hate when is calling basketball games.

It's funny there are a number of folks who feel the same way. I've always enjoyed her work; she doesn't bother me at all.

I'm not a fan of Doris Burke either. I also can't stand little sweet or whatever that Dr. Pepper guy goes by

Justin Guarini - runner up to Kelly Clarkson in the 1st American Idol

Doris Burke?!?!?! I think she is the best announcer out there. She knows so much about basketball, and you can tell how much homework she does for every game. I'm almost offended she's mentioned in the same breath as Roseanne.

If we're talking ESPN, I'd have to go with Stephen A and Chris Broussard. There's something about the combination of extreme confidence and lack of substance that makes me cringe.

I agree. Used to love when I'd see her pop up on a Louisville back when she called midday Big East games for ESPN.

I LOVE me some Reba and that red hair just does it for me...but you are right, her talking voice is not the most pleasant.

Reba's talking voice would fit in perfectly in Owsley County. She's country and southern, just like me. :)

On Doris Burke...I think he's brilliant and knows what she's talking about. I just can't stand the sound of her voice.

This 1000 times!

And this explains it, I had no idea that's who it was. Irritating on American Idol and even worse as Little Sweet.

Here's a start just off the top of my head... I'm sure there's more....

Brian Thomas on 55-KRC - Full of himself - Shameless spin master - Apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

Jerry Thomas (Brian's Dad) on 55-KRC - Spent many years teaching his son how to be a load of crap idiot just like him.

Thom Brenneman - Though he tries, he just isn't his dad, and you can hear entitled jerk bleed right through his voice. No doubt as a kid he was a braggart who had it comin'.

Donald Trump - Annoying unintelligent arrogant loud-mouthed idiot lacking substance.

Mike Pence - How many ways can you say fake?

Hillary Clinton - She reminds me of an annoying busy body boss that I once had that everyone hated, plus her voice is annoying and especially when she tries to back it with power and it sounds like she's straining... makes my throat hurt to listen.

Mark Levin - Like an ice pick through my skull. - Dude is a psycho.

Rush Limbaugh - Loud-mouthed arrogant full-of-himself idiot.

Bill Cunningham - His whiney raw delivery grates on my nerves.

Randi Rico - Morning weather lady on WLWT Channel 5 in Cincinnati - I think that she's pretty cool, but sometimes I just can't stand hearing her voice deliver the weather.

Richard Chiles - Weekend News Reporter for WLWT Channel 5 in Cincinnati - His mono-toned delivery grates on my nerves. Sounds like he as a sinus problem.

Dr. Phil - "What you need to do is"....what he needs to do is just shut the hell up.

Craig Ferguson - I really dig a great Brit or Scottish accent, but his got on my nerves something fierce while also never being the least bit funny.

David Spade - I got a kick out of him on the SNL - "B-Bye" skit, but other than that I just wanted to smack him. Shut up you wormy geek.

Keith Morrison - Dateline host just creeps me out. How weird can you get?

Craig Melvin - Today show weekend host - Though I like him, his scratchy delivery gets on my nerves.

Jeff Rossen - Today show - I typically dig his topics, but I don't dig his hyped out approach.

Mike Emrick - NHL announcer - I might just once and for all watch a hockey game if I didn't have to listen to his annoying over exaggerated nasally voice. I suppose for some it just wouldn't be the same without him.

Rosie O'donnell - Her boisterous shallow insufferable way embarrasses me. She does not speak for me.

Gloria Allred - She's just too much - I can't take her seriously. Women's rights would do better without her.

Dave Lapham - Bengals radio announcer - Sounds like he has an entire ham sandwich in his mouth or at least a mouth that could handle one.

Dan Hoard - Probably could be considered as having a voice made for announcing yet I can never listen without thinking that it's over the top.

The loud-mouthed announcer at the Boys 9th Region tourney at the BB&T arena. He stays in the exact same annoying dynamic mode no matter what he's saying. I feel like I'm being hit in the head with a brick every time he opens his mouth. Not every play deserves such loud over-the-top commentary.

That's a pretty good list.
