This game had a lot to leave both teams unsatisfied. Trinity wanted the game to continue because our team was playing so well. The X people wanted the game to continue to show that their team could play better than they did in the first 11 minutes. I think that a lot of X people have clung to the notion that the best team didn't win last December. Regardless of how this game would have ended up (and I do think we were headed for a big Trinity win), I think we can put to rest the notion that December was a fluke. One of the things I have always liked about Coach Beatty is that he sees, remembers and adapts. After the Male loss in 2000 he learned that our lines needed to be faster and more athletic. The Trinity lines since then have been very agile, strong and athletic. He also learned that you beat Male by going straight at them (see 2001 and 2002). The regular season losses the past two years showed that we needed to be more physical. Trinity was the more physical team last night. Good luck to Victor Anderson and hopes for a speedy recovery. I hope to see X again in November, but to tell the truth, I don't care a whole lot who is on the other side of the field as long as Trinity is there.

Both teams have had their Bye weeks. Papa John's Cardinal stadium was booked all weekend. Old Cardinal stadium cannot be used as the controller for the scoreboard is gone and the company that made it is no longer in business, coupled with the fact that the bleachers on the visitor side are condemned. Trinity has a fabulous field with turf, but in no way could it possibly handle the capacity that this crowd will draw even on short notice. As it is the JV and freshman games can fill it to capacity. No where in Louisville is available on such short notice.

Why not have it at Trinity? what you're saying is that if you can't play this game in front of 36,000 people,then just not play it? Somehow that does not seem quite fair for the players. I think the fans should be a secondary consideration in this matter. As far as handling capacity, you close the gate once the stadium is full. I' m guessing these teams have sold out games in the past. It just sounds like no one wanted to take on making this happen. I think thats a shame.

I think that is absolutely the reason that there won't be a rescheduling.

I like to think that the game in September last year was the fluke and the game in December was the true indication of the two teams.

Personally I think last year has nothing to do with this year.

Its kind of amusing that all year log we have had the X and T banter, and when it comes to the game, a thunder storm takes precedence. I think someone is trying to tell us something:D
