futurecoach
Im Not to worried. This was the first game of the tournament for our team. 2011 it took a last second layup to win their first round game. They got the first one out of the way. I would rather them play bad today and get it out of the way.
Randy Parker
Jeff Drummond @JDrumUK UK fans join NKU fan base in giving standing O to the Norse coming off the court.
Hatz
Is it just me or has the officiating changed in the tourney versus the season? It appears to me that both sides got away with a lot and the same seems true in the other games.
John Anthony
Monk takes a pull up 3 under one second at the finish and misses again.
Randy Parker
Per Ben Roberts, Kentucky kids accounted for 62 of NKU's 70 points: Holland 22, Williams 21, McDonald 14, Faulkner 3.

rookie57
I was and they are. Better defense, better half court offense. Only reason UK beat UNC is Monk scored 47 that day. Other than that the defense sucked that day, and no flow on offense. You keep thinking they were better at the beginning of the year, and you will be wrong. This team is better in every area from the beginning of the year. Monk scored 47 points and it still took a last second shot to win that day. If Monk puts up 47 now on someone it wouldn't even be close no matter who they are playing. Keep telling yourself that.
16thBBall Fan
I was wondering when was the last time in the tournament that all of the top 16 seeds won their first round games and all by an average of 14+ points?
16thBBall Fan
SEC is 4-1 after the first round with Vandy's gift to Northwestern as it's only loss.
Wireman
People are freaking out but I'm not. A win is a win. NKU should be a 15-seed but they are playing better than a 15-seed. The champions of the Horizon League are better than 15 seeds. Kentucky didn't play great but they won and that's really all that matters.
oldrambler
Not a lot to say here other than I was far more impressed with NKU than I was U.K.. No effort, No Pride ....the Cats just showed up going through the motions. Should U.K. play like this vs. Wichita State on Sunday ...then at least it's a short drive back to Lexington from Indy bc WSU will embarrass U..K, if they play like this ! Hopefully this one was a wake up call.

John Anthony
The difference in my opinion was UK having a center in shape.
