February 15, 20179 yr Seemed like they moved the ball extremely well tonight. Looked like they consistently made the extra pass. Offense looked very fluid. Also nice to hit a lot of shots.

February 15, 20179 yr Tonight was what I refer to as "Kentucky Basketball". On offense, they kept good spacing, were moving without the ball and passing, hitting the open man. For the first time in close to a month it looked like they were actually running an offense. A pattern of couple of players trying to "get theirs" first before passing and screening, etc. had taken over in the last few weeks and hopefully we won't see that again. U.K. played much better defense tonight as well..... talking, picking up / help on a man when they got by a defender and switching if needed. Hopefully, this kind of play will be consistent from here on out and not fall back into the play has been going on in the past few weeks.

February 15, 20179 yr Wait a minute this can't be possible. Uk was a bad half court offensive team who had zero ball movement, and also played horrible defense. That stuff can't get better without good coaching. Now the last three games they have moved and shared the ball much better in the half court. Also the defense has looked better the last two games. This team still has plenty to improve on. However this team is starting to show some signs of figuring it out with the tournament a few weeks a way. Which is something Cal never gets enough credit for. No matter what flaws his team's have had during a season, the teams the made the tournament he had them playing their best come tournment time. Which I feel gets overlooked a lot, when talking about his coaching ability. Having a team playing it's best by the end of the year is a sign of good coaching.
