February 6, 20179 yr But their running game on first downs propelled them in the first half. I didn't think it was out of their character. Just saying, the Pats expected the runs, because that's "the thing to do" when you're leading... Pats stuffed the runs on early downs in second half and forced 3rd and longs... The runs worked early in the game, because the defense is totally guessing... is it run or pass? Once the Falcons had the lead, there was no guessing... run on first 2 downs, throw on third, then punt... Just reminded me of the Bengals... I'm sure Sanu was use to it...
February 6, 20179 yr Even after the sack, the Falcons were in FG range. I expected them to give it to Freeman to pick up a few more yards, then kick the clinching FG. Instead they get the holding call and have to punt.
