Guys......who else had their ear/s pierced?

Featured Replies

I wanted to get my ear pierced when I was a senior up on the "hill", but dating the principals daughter I knew otherwise. :lol2: However, upon graduation (1984) I got one ear pierced (small cubic zirconia), mom and dad weren't mad, but not happy as well, but it kind of grew on them. A year later while in Florida for Spring Break I got the other ear pierced, and a year after that while on Spring Break again, I got a 2nd piercing in my left ear. I would wear small hoops in both, with a cubic zirconia in the top left.

I continued to wear them (outside of work) until about 7 years ago. Now my right ear hole is closed up, but the two in my left are still open, every once in a while I'll put them in for :poop: & giggles or when I dress up like a rocker for Halloween.

So guys, who else had their ear/ears pierced, or still does?????

Mine are the same way got them done back in the 90s when I was 16.

In 1984 I got my left ear pierced with a small fake diamond at the age of 20 because at the time the right ear was the gay ear, and that would've been far more radical for my conservative co-workers to handle than the left ear already was for them.

My parents weren't too happy about it and at 22, and them being super Catholic, I seriously thought that they might accept it more if I had a dangling crucifix. This only made their heads explode, and I literally could never explain to them that I thought that they would be pleased that I was wearing religious symbolism. They weren't having any of it and is what escalated the discussion that it was time for me to get my own apartment.

For me it wasn't a gay thing anyway, and just more or less the influence that MTV was having on me, and me jumping on trends at that concert going partying time of my life.

Wore it until I was around 25 and quit, and then just for kicks tested the hole when I was about 33 and was amazed that it was still open.

Went back to wearing a small gold hoop that my long term 20 year partner gave to me until I had to take it out during a medical procedure at age 50, and haven't worn it again since, but I've kept it in a special place because of it being a gift from my deceased partner. I'll be 53 on my next birthday.

I did for a brief time, 1985 while in the Army. Hole grew over while spending an extended period of time in the field. Never had it redone.

Nope. Not a fan. My wife wears ear rings.

I got my ears pierced when I was a junior in high school and I wore earrings for a few years. I can still get an earring in if I want too(not that I do...). What's weird is every once in a while one of the holes will get a little infection again.

Another thing, every so often one of my students will notice the holes. It immediately becomes the most interesting thing about my class that day.

Nope, never considered it.

However I nearly lost a bet at work once and would have had to...luckily I pulled out a last minute win.

Actual unretouched photo of ol' pap back in the day:

Wasn't a thing in the early 70's or hadn't made it to

Morehead. When it was a thing I already had kids, so no. Probably would have, though

Nope , just nipples and penis for me .

Mine are pierced.

Nope , just nipples and penis for me .

Really happy i wasn't drinking coffee when i read this...hysterical! :lol2:

The first time that I ever saw a guy with an ear ring in both ears was George Michael in the Wham video "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" and thought that it looked overly sissy.

The second time was Simon Lebon of Duran Duran during one of those "We Are The World" type benefit concerts of the day.

It took a bit for my mind to adjust to that, and in no time it became all gangsta street for tough straight dudes to have multiple piercing in both ears, and the whole gay right ear thing completely lost all significance as a result of that.

My HS girlfriend pierced mine at her mom's condo. Wore 2 fake diamonds till 24 years old or so. My wife tells me to put them back in but I'm way to old for that now.
