Christmas Menu

Featured Replies

What is your menu for Christmas? Christmas eve we go to my moms and have appetizers that my sister and I bring in. I always take a tiger shrimp ring, rolls and country ham, sausage balls, and grapes, Havarti cheese and cherries on a toothpick with a dip made of cream cheese, marshmallow cream and cherry juice.

For Christmas dinner I am fixing smoked wild turkey breast and a whole smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, oyster casserole, green beans with country ham, cranberry salad, freezer corn, pecan pie and butterscotch pie.

Jamiacan food!!!! Curry and jerk. Lots of rice and spicy jamiacan gravy, collard greens and homemade mac-n-cheese. This is what you get when you get 4 Jamaican women in the kitchen together! Good music, awsome food.

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas to all.

Happy Birthday, Jesus.

Christmas Eve: Will be family game night with homemade potato soup, and many appitizers.

Chistmas Breakfast Tradition (but lunch this year after church): Tenderloin, country ham, bacon, biscuits and gravy (wife's gave is awesome) and eggs made to order for everyone.

Christmas dinner: Ham, baked beans, hot potato salad, yeast rolls and some other stuff that I don't worry about, plus pie!

This is going to be the first year of new traditions, so I'm not sure what. But tomorrow will be brunch at my son's. I'm taking roasted potatoes, onions and peppers. I'm not sure what I'll have on Sunday. I'll likely make something the dogs enjoy, because it will be me, my two pups, and my daughter's pup. Looks like Christmas will be going to the dogs. :lol2:

Christmas eve is extended family with appetizers and desserts from 5 to 8. Then the young familes go home to put their kids to bed. A late dinner with best friends, then 11 pm church service together. Dinner is prime rib, mashed potato casserole, maple glazed brussel sprouts. Opening presents and Christmas brunch with a sister in assisted living on Christmas morning. Then relaxing the rest of the day. The kids all arrive for New Years so that is when the house gets full of chaos, laughter, cooking, cards and football. Merry Christmas to all of my BGP friends.

Christmas Day at Mom's, shredded beef in brown gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans.

Christmas Eve, big potluck with my Mom's side of the family.

What time should I stop over? LOVE traditional Jamaican food. My favorite.

Doing a ham coated in a honey Dijon and brown sugar rub with a peach glaze to take to my uncle's Sunday evening. Brunch at my dads that morning. Might do some biscuits and gravy for that. Might not and make him do all the work... :lol2:

Our family always alternates between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners. Christmas eve is typically the big dinner along with a party afterward, Christmas Day dinner is generally more finger foods and such while everyone opens presents and watches movies. Mom is doing Christmas Day this year and is having most of the food catered from Honey baked ham. My Aunt is handling Christmas eve and called me today to come pick up a nearly 13 pound beef tenderloin to toss on the Kamado grill, I'm pretty stoked about that. I'm going to make some scalloped oysters as well.

Eve brings Lasagna for the first time this year. Normally she does ham or something for my side of the family.

Always have shrimp, pepperoni, cheese and a few other snacks. Sort of am old mom and dad tradition. We go to her side after a early dinner and that will be a ton of offerings.

Started a new Christmas morning Tradition a few years ago with my brother in law/ neighbor. When the smoke comes from the chimney, we alternate mimosa's and breakfast. Our turn this year.

Spiral ham, scalloped oysters, crab dip and crackers, not sure what else.

Christmas Eve is Norwegian Christmas for my family: meatballs, lutefisk, pinnekjott (ribs), lefse, potatoes, and much more.

Lutefisk? Nice!

I've always wanted to try that.
