9 is my guess.

Saw this on FB today, actually saw a retired math teacher get it wrong.

The way I was taught and the way it is expressed, it is 9. But I can see it as 1 also (my second choice).

I think I actually just got angry at the notation there. The lack of clarity made me really mad. :lol2:

9

All day every day!!!

I had 9 also. Parentheses first, then 6/2=3, multiple that by 3 and you get 9.

The answer is 9, but I can see how people would say 1. That's some horrendous notation.

The real answer is 47.

If you go to mathconspiracy.online.info you'll see my latest clip on how the government has manipulated math formulas for decades.

People who have drank the Kool-aid keep saying "please excuse my dear aunt Sue," but has anyone ever seen Sue? Didn't think so. That's because Sue never existed and was a hired actor paid to dupe Americans into believing they had to subtract last.

Looks like the real answer is 9 because of how it is written. I probably need to brush up on my algebra skills. I'm not going to, but I probably need to.
