For the Purples, what a super year! Carrothers is one of the best RBs we will ever have! Great Career! Same for super steady QB Clark Payne and the Magician Deangelo Wilson! Cofer and Decarlo Halcolm and Rashad Darden and Tyler Stahl and Jamir White will all be missed next season and All had Great games!

 

Well coached is an understatement! NO POINTS ALLOWED after halftime. Ballgame with Carothers running the ball!

Did not run score up at all. You cant help it if you score 2 TDs at end of game on crazy special team plays.

 

Very special team. IMO, best BG team to date. You have an A+ athlete and person in the running back, Caruthers (5tds with 239 all purpose yards), a record breaking QB in Clark Payne, best hands around in Deangelo, arguably the fastest kid in the state with Kenner, 2 stoppers on the Dline in Cofer and Dingle, the highest future recruit BG will have in 3 more years in Tisdale, the best offensive play caller around and the best defensive coaches (especially in 2nd halves of games) and you have the makings of an unreal team.

 

Great season. We will miss our Dline and some stud skill players but the future is very bright in Purple land. Awesome season gang! State Champs, again...

Not enough can be said about Jake Johnson.. 10/88/1td at the half. I absolutely hate he couldn't finish this one out in what was a tie game at halftime..

 

I do think Pulaski could've kept it close had Johnson not went down. However, this game showed exactly how valuable he's been for the Maroons this season! The score doesn't indicate the battle Pulaski came out and gave.

 

I'm not sure how much the defensive adjustments mattered with him being out.

 

BG is so deep and have a ton of speed and offensive weapons. Carothers was a beast all game. Congrats to them on an undefeated season & state title. Would bet they'll just reload and be back next year!

I agree. 2011 was the most dominate Purples team ever.

Really? Dude, it's the championship, Pulaski is supposed to be able to fend for themselves and it's their job to stop BG. It's not like BG was playing some helpless district foe in the 4th week of the season, Pulaski is presumably one of the 2 best teams in that class. BG did absolutely nothing wrong here.

It is definitely a record for the Purples in the postseason.

Somebody did npt watch the game and then wanted to make negative comments. These were NOT offensive touchdowns good sir. Would you have recommended that the defender dive to the ground after the fumble recovery and then just run out of bounds after the interception?
