Accumulating lists of potential political enemies is never a worthy endeavor for our federal government. Just because you have nothing to hide, does not mean that you want the federal government singling you out for special treatment. Donald Trump will only be president for four years. His successor may forward a Christian registry straight to the IRS.

 

I have no issue with terror watch lists. Most Muslims are not terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslims. The names of innocent Muslims who are not linked to terrorist groups do not belong on a list any more that your name does.

I am hopeful that PE Trump is nothing like Candidate Trump.

False. I don't always agree with him. That's my whole point. I'm not claiming to be close to the top 25 smartest people on this board but I am not stupid by any stretch of the imagination. Habib and Getslow challenge my thought process more than any two people on here. I agree with them on a lot but not everything. GETSLOW VOTED FOR HILLARY!!!!! The intelligence they display when they speak is evident and that attracts me to their posts. Watching people respond and deflect their questions is always fun and eye opening.

 

Dino Nova challenges me as well and I don't agree with anything he says. He makes me think and he challenges my thoughts. Dino challenges me to evaluate why I think and feel the way I do and as a result I have to figure out why I feel a certain way.

 

 

That's what I want from people. Is it a plus if I agree with them? Absolutely. But to discredit what they say because you don't agree with them is disingenuous. Especially if you look at what they say and how they say it.

Yes. Fear mongering. I said why, no need to repeat. Habib may be the smartest cat on this board to you, I've seen others who rival him and that's not an insult, just how I see it. Habib leans quite to the left and his opinions (and they're simply that) don't resonate with everyone. He is a smart guy, he's not always right.

There is not a war on Christianity. There are many who oppose Christians who try to overstep separation of church and state, and understand that as setting a bad precedent in a country based on liberty and justice for all.

I voted for Hilary because I couldn't stand the thought of Mr Trump as president. Mr. Trump is president, and he is tempering his messaging. I am not seeing that in those who support him, including posts on this board. So, you can parse it any way you like, and can do what you choose to diminish my thoughts. But I stand by my comments.

Amend that to "There is not a war on Christianity in this country" and I agree 100 percent.

The Muslim registry comment was one that concerned me regarding PE Trump. I believed at the time it was a mistake and I still believe it is. When you're talking about a registry for new immigrants entering our country that's one thing, but to single out and register American citizens based on religion would be wrong. Public sentiment will not allow this to happen.

 

I agree 100% , I want to watch suspected terrorist and use some profiling to protect ALL of our citizens , not register religious groups , wouldn't think I would need to say that but with the climate on here matching the national scene I thought I should clarify . Shame we act like opponents all the time ( self included)
