Projected Lineups For 9th and 10th

He's a nice kid, but what could he add. Michael Grimes, while shorter, does everything he does but better. Driving, mid-range, defense, intensity, athleticism.

You're right, there isn't much room for a kid who is about 6'5'' and can knock down a mid range jumper and is pretty athletic.

When he is on a team where the coach has shown tendecies to encourage most of the scoring to come from the guards over the past years, and therefore the big guys are supposed to rebound, defend, and be aggressive, especially in a district with the most physical team in the region (Holy Cross) and the most talented (Holmes), then you need more than an outside shot.

You know as well as I do that CovCath doesn't rebuild, they reload. And with the competition for playing time that goes on between seasons, personal motivation becomes a big factor (see Bovard at the beggining of this past year).

Remember two things: I wish Sam the best of luck in whatever he chooses to do, and secondly, this is just my opinion.

Sam Cahill could play (and contribute) for any team in the region. Whether or not he is used in the proper situations, or at all, is another story.

Holmes starting 5 will probably be as follows:

Duran Jefferson

Arrez Henderson

Austin Hill

Greg Rice

The 5th player will likely be used depending on who they're playing and the style they play so you could see either of the following in the starting lineup

Josh Nelson

Braeon Avery

Kejuan Arnold

BTW, I just got word that Nate Edmondson was ruled ineligible and won't be playing for Gallatin this year.

Does this mean Edmondson comes back to Holmes with his hat in his hand?

I thought Rice didn'y play anymore.

Not sure to be honest. I have been out of town the past few weeks for work so haven't had much time to find anything out. I'll keep you all up to date though.

But the only way Nate is eligible his senior year is if he comes back to Holmes, so he may be back. But don't quote me on saying he is.

You need a program to keep up with these guys.

Amen!!

BG have no fear,Brossart will roll in the All A this year.Mason is too large to be in it anyway.Clark will be hard to handle and will be a fight to the finish in the tenth region between those two.But with the luck of the draw they might get in the same bracket and BB could get to the finals.:thumb:

I wouldnt count out St. Pat or Bracken to pull an upset. They play in first round with Augusta/Nicholas in thier bracket, so either team should be rested.

Rest assured he will be standing at the door with his crumpled hat in his hand asking for a spot on the squad. If he comes back they will definitely be a force.

That would be great but I am not holding my breath until it happens.:D

Will Pendleton produce good offense with their starters?

I'm not sure the ruling is final. The appeal has been heard, so a final ruling should be upcoming.

GRC

Preston Knowles

Tristian Jones

Robell Rogers

Josh Wood

5th spot? Could go to a 2 guard, or could move Robell to 2 guard and then move someone to forward position..Names to watch for are Robert Hatton, Tatum Lewis, Evan Bennett, and Dougie Mason. Right now I would say Dougie Mason.

GRC will have a very strong bench.

Was Rogers and Jones from Fleming County at one time?
