Projected Lineups For 9th and 10th

Just an assumption, obviously I am not Willie and I'm sure he won't be jotting down these thoughts but here goes.

Highlands

Nic Simpson Guard 6'2 JR

Greg McGraw Guard 6'2 JR

Scott Wise Center 6'6 SR

Drew Simons- SF 6'2 JR

Luke Stein- PF 6'3 JR

Bench- Zach Hurtt 6'2 JR , Micheal Eaton 6'2 JR, Stewart 6'2 JR, Dierig 6'7 SR , Josh Conner 5'11 Soph, Zach Lother 5'5 Soph.

Is Eaton really a Junior? If he's who I think he is, it seems like he's been playing forever. I kind of recall him playing in the Highlands/NCH game at NKU when O.J. was a Freshman. If he's only a junior then was he just in the 8th grade during that game? Maybe I'm thinking about the wrong guy. Maybe someone can clear me up about him.

I'm pretty sure Sam is out of the equation.

To start the season:

Bondick, TJ, Bo (once he gets in from football), Schult, and Grimes. A small but athletic team.

I've been out of touch lately. Is Cahill off the team? What did I miss? I was thinking that he would be a big part of their team this year.

Apparently, he is off the team of his own volition.

You may be thinking of his older brother Greg, who graduated last year

Should we just fast forward to March, and announce Mason as the regional (and probably STATE champs)?? Best in the Tenth and the 2nd 5 in the top six???? I'm guessing the third five would roll in the All "A", and most other regions?? :D

PS: It's only early September!!

Well wait and see.:pBut to answer your ? NO,I never said NO such thing cause Clark is just as good.It will be a battle between those Two.:D

Aww, the Schwammi...at least that's what I thought it was. Either way, thanks for the help.

And, Malachi didn't say that's why they practice, it was yours truly. I'm not very smart, so give me credit when I say something noteworthy.

Your right.. I give Malachi too much credit as it is. :D

BG have no fear,Brossart will roll in the All A this year.Mason is too large to be in it anyway.Clark will be hard to handle and will be a fight to the finish in the tenth region between those two.But with the luck of the draw they might get in the same bracket and BB could get to the finals.:thumb:

Just having a little fun pointing out a little over-exuberance on the part of the Mason faithful, especially the 2nd 5 players being top 6 in the region?? They, along with Clark certainly deserve to be the favorites going into the season; but as we all know being the favorite doesn't get you much come game time.

I for one, don't think this region is a two horse race. I think several others can make some noise come March!! Lots of football, soccer, golf, etc. to be played first; and then we can get on with annointing the Royals!!

I guess he has his reasons, but I was thinking that this could've been Cahill's coming out year for the Colonels. I always thought that he was under used in the past but thought for certain that he'd get his minutes this year. I'm sorry to hear that he won't be playing. I was thinking that his name would've come up alot this coming season as a much improved player. It might've been a little to crowded last year with the Colonels for him to play much, but I just thought that this season could've been a great year for him.

Everyone last year just knew that PC would take the region again...they were the favorite. I was the only one one here that knew that the GRC cards had a chance..I Like to fly under the radar and let the boys prove it on the court...which they did. Anything can happen come March...no one should be taken lightly.I for one will be watching the growth of all teams this season.

Why did you think this would be his coming out year? He has declined from year to year. Sophmore year he lost his JV starting spot to Peter Sutton. If he had better ballhandling skill, he could have been a good guard, but he struggled to rebound and defend for a 6"5 player. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Sam Cahill could add a ton to this Covington Catholic team. His presence will be missed, but CCH is a program and will continue to succeed.

He's a nice kid, but what could he add. Michael Grimes, while shorter, does everything he does but better. Driving, mid-range, defense, intensity, athleticism.

:D :D

Then no way that Doug Lambert is 6'2 and Bhishma desai is 6'3. Jermey Mudd is 6'1

Holmes starting 5 will probably be as follows:

Duran Jefferson

Arrez Henderson

Austin Hill

Greg Rice

The 5th player will likely be used depending on who they're playing and the style they play so you could see either of the following in the starting lineup

Josh Nelson

Braeon Avery

Kejuan Arnold

BTW, I just got word that Nate Edmondson was ruled ineligible and won't be playing for Gallatin this year.
