I don't mean to crash the CCH discussion of starters, but one name I've not seen mentioned is the Lampl kid. He's big and athletic. Can he play?

You're right, he's big & he's athletic; however, he's somewhat limited offensively. Fortunately, CCH is pretty strong in their backcourt, which will allow guys like Lampl & Schult to be big contributors with defense & rebounding. Schult has gotten a little more aggressive offensively (which didn't take much), but he & Lampl both are much better around the basket as "garbage men". And there's nothing wrong with that. ;)

Thanks for the heads up.:thumb:

Scott High School - 10th region

Starters:

G - Nathane Sharp ---- Senior

G/F - Chris Quigley -----Senior

F - Danny Miller --------Senior

G/F - Kenny Felts ------Senior

G or F - ? (G-Ryne Smith - S, G -Drew Castleman - S, or possibly a Sophmore forward)

Bench:

Will be young and inexperienced.

what about the forward that played JV last year he plays football his name is Ryan B cant prounounce his last name.....I thought that he may start this year....

Who will start for Mason?

It's awful early, but Mason lost one starter - Mikah Turner - so I'll say:

Darius Miller

Brad Pawsat

Tony Browning/Nathan Stahl

Tyreese Scott

Russ Middleton

Id say it will be Tony if he stays healthy.

I know who you are referring to and that is a possibility. I know Quigley, Miller, and Sharp for sure will start and the other two positions are up in the air. I was just giving my opinion who I felt might start.

I only saw Mason 3 times last year and Browning played well each time.

Mason's first five is a heck of a starting line-up.

Quigley, Sharp & Miller are locks. Felts got a lot of PT so he is probably a good bet as well. Smith is probably the best bet for the last position. If teams have to help on Sharp and Quigley, Miller & Smith can make jump shots.

Bench is going to be extremely young & inexperienced.

Pretty good projection.

Just an assumption, obviously I am not Willie and I'm sure he won't be jotting down these thoughts but here goes.

Highlands

Nic Simpson Guard 6'2 JR

Greg McGraw Guard 6'2 JR

Scott Wise Center 6'6 SR

Drew Simons- SF 6'2 JR

Luke Stein- PF 6'3 JR

Bench- Zach Hurtt 6'2 JR , Micheal Eaton 6'2 JR, Stewart 6'2 JR, Dierig 6'7 SR , Josh Conner 5'11 Soph, Zach Lother 5'5 Soph.

Id say it will be Tony if he stays healthy.

I really like Browning's game, he reminds me a lot of Litszinger. I see Stahl as more of a role player IMO.

This sounds like a pretty small lineup. Do they have any size in reserve?

I'm another who's not pretending to have a crystal ball, but I'd guess Brossart's lineup will be mostly set as follows:

Troy Cooper--5

Nathan Mutsch--4

Jim Uebel--2 or 3

Josh Kidney--1 or 2

????

I'd guess the five other seniors are in the mix for the fifth spot, who all bring something different to the table. Kyle Kramer probably saw the most varsity time last year, is a great defender who probably fits best as a 2 or 3. Matt Lloyd is a natural PG, and another great defender and steady ball handler. Luke Rebholtz is similar in size to Kramer, but more of a scorer from the 2-3 spot. Matthew Hansman has good size and is a good inside scorer. Bryan Niemeyer, possibly the most versatile of the bunch, has some size as well as outside scoring ability.

Unless sombody really steps up in the preseason, I wouldn't be at all surprized to see some situational starters depending on the opponent, and whether or not they need size, defense, scoring, speed, etc. Should make for a pretty versatile and deep team!!

Not that I am aware of.
