I'm guessing KHSAA ruled that this game must be continued and Scott County is claiming that they already "won the game/half" and won't continue?

If I was on the team, I cannot imagine the excuses that would be offered that could clear my feelings that "we turned our backs and walked off the battlefield". I project it will be hard for SC to reach their goals with this unnecessary stain.

I completely disagree. They can have an "us against the world" view moving forward... especially if they meet up w Lafayette again.

I think Lafayette should have been awarded the winner.....BUT....and I am speculating Scott County's argument......I do think Scott County has a great case to be declared the winner. Neither school could host the game on Saturday and we are also unsure if Sunday was feasible. They had gotten half of the game completed and it isn't a district game so it isn't needed for seeding purposes. It's he said, she said as far as who was making themselves available to play and with Scott County being the home team they should reserve the right to remain the home team. If I was on the KHSAA staff I have no clue how I would have voted but I would have heard both sides of the story and made a decision. I think the right decision was made but like I said I think Scott County had a great case and this was a difficult decision.

It will not phase SC at all, you guys obviously have no idea what kind of motivator and coach McKee is. The question may be flipped the other way, can Lafayette be satisfied with a 1-0 win. Will that make them happy. I say maybe their fans but not anyone else in the program. A push to rematch will be in the cards for both coaches moving forward.

From what I know & its a good source, Lafayette offered multiple options (including a neutral facility) for Saturday since Scott Co. didn't have a viable facility for Saturday & that wasn't acceptable. Scott Co. was sending their JV & Freshman teams to Cincinnati on Saturday as well.
