I find this rather interesting this game could not be finished at another school this morning or afternoon. I'm assuming this is about money that would need to be paid for another venue other than Lafayette?

All kidding aside, how do we need to title this thread/game result?

Scott County now claiming Lafayette never offered an alternative site. This is FAR FAR from over.

On Twitter it was mentioned there was band competition at Lafayette today, so I doubt they could of played it at Lafayette either.

I just looked at the KHSAA Scoreboard and there is no final yet.

This will drag on for awhile.

I find this hole scenario a debacle. Cannot phathom any schools Fr/JV teams taking a precedence over the varsity. Something just doesn't pass the smell test in this whole scenario. Was the SC decision not to resume made by administrators that didn't know it would generate a forfeit? Were the administrators overwhelmed by the logistics of scheduling busses to travel 20 miles to Lafayette on such short notice? Or, was SC thankful to get out of the game with no significant injuries and felt the apparent scoreboard victory was the max they could probably salvage? Cannot believe there can be any truth that this was a "no mas" surrender. But, golly, it sure doesn't bring any pride to the Cardinal players. Think we have non-coaches potentially making decisions with little thought of the negative ramifications to the program. This could be a season changing event that sucks all of the momentum from Coach McKee's exceptional program. Sure hope not!

Other games in Lex waited it out last night to get the game in.

I still don't understand why the game was stopped at half time.

HL reporter said he heard the conversations. LL wanted to wait. SC wanted to head home.
