How Did You Meet Your Spouse/Significant Other?

I figure it might be a little interesting to hear some "how we met" stories from the good folks here on BGP.

She was hired where I worked and I ended up her supervisor...she left for another job right after our first couple of dates.

 

To this day I am the only supervisor to give her a "Standard" evaluation, every other one she has ever received has been "Exceeds Expectations" or higher...yes, this is still a sore spot with her.

Knew who she was in junior high school. She moved to Elizabethtown when we were in 8th or 9th grade (9th grade was at the junior highs in Henderson then). Around the same time I moved across the street from her still best friend in Henderson. Got to know her more when she would come back to visit her friend. We dated a little in high school. After we graduated she went to WKY. Her parents moved back to Henderson. We started dating again her sophomore or junior year of college. That was 1995 or 1996. Got married in 2003.

She was my sisters nanny/babysitter.

Mutual friends. Granted she has no memory of the first time we did meet. Guess I didn't make a good first impression but she will never forget our second meeting ; )

Middle school to be exact. Been together since then. Married 36 yrs in October.

My girlfriend went to college with a good friend from law school and his wife. We weren't set up on a date, per se, but our meeting was most certainly not by chance.

Work. She had started off in the IT department and since she knew how to operate a word processor, when personal computers became available her dept head figured she would be the one best suited to be in charge of them. I was in accounting and since I was the most recent graduate our controller figured I would have the least trouble with those new fangled machines. So she ended up training me on the pc's.

High school football game. 41 years ago in September. Rode around listening to The Guess Who later that night. Walked her to her front door, Gave her a peck on the cheek, We've been inseparable since that night.
