I'm disappointed that Beechwood didn't move up to 2A.

Interesting that they went with a 2 year alignment instead of the 4 they originally proposed. So that makes it a shorter learning curve and teams can reevaluate their situation after 2008.

From a NKY perspective I find it interesting that the magic 17 coaches that Coach Marksberry from Simon Kenton claimed voted against 6 classes for the most part do NOT have schools that agree.

Here are the breakdowns:

You've got to feel sorry for Harlan Consolidated. Have there been any talks of them trying to move to 5A?

You've got to feel sorry for Harlan Consolidated.

Not as sorry as I feel for Scott. :D

Not as sorry as I feel for Scott. :D

Why is that? I thought Harlan Consolidated had the longest road games of anybody in the state. Or is there another reason why you feel sorry for scott?

They are in a district with Highlands and CovCath and just loss to Holy Cross -- I'd say they are in over their head more than any other team in the alignment. Just my opinion.

So what did they decide on feeder programs , open enrollment and transfers ? Will there be some big changes coming ?

I think all of those items are still on the agenda for next month.

I darn near pegged the NKY 5A district.

Only I had Grant County moving to the Montgomery County district.

Holmes and Scott get a tough draw based on the addition of HHS and CCH.

But now they can be a little more creative with their scheduling rather than being locked into 7 district games.

I'm curious to why Somerset moved to 3A? Seems to me that we are in a much easier district and that for the most part 3A is much easier than 2A. I do see that for the most of our district games are much closer, but is that enough to petition for a class change. I was thinking that if Somerset were in 2A, then we would have been the second smallest school.

Looks like Somerset is dodging another district that doesn't suit them.

I kinda think Paducah Tilghman made out like bandits.
