Will name 4 Holmes players that I have personally watched.

Dickie Beal..Played at UK and a state runner up team.

Doug Schloemer...Mr. Basketball and UC player and state runner up.

Jack Jennings....State runner up, went on to play at Western Ky I believe and pro ball over seas.

Elija Pitman... This one gets very hard to pick, Ricardo Johnson was also very good.

Pitman played on the state championship team and played at Marshall.

We can go back a few years and add so many more.

I like your list but Beal was not a state runner-up his senior year (80') but he was on the 78' team.

Jennings only made it to the state quarterfinal game and lost to eventual state champion Louisville Ballard.

My selection for Holmes all time coaches is:

Coach Tom Ellis

Coach Fred Moeves

Coach Reynolds Flynn

Coach David Henley

Coach Hutchison was top five in wins for girls Basketball. Not sure what he is now.

Bracken County/Brooksville

Polar Bears:

Jarvis Parsley- coached 26 years (1942-1967) with a record of 458-287. 10 districts, 2 regions.

Austin Crawford (2013-2017) All time leading scorer, 2384

Eddie Hopkins (1973-1976) 2nd All time leading scorer, 1650. 2 districts

Warren Cooper (1937-1940) 7th leading scorer, 1314. Regional, State Championship.

Lady Bears

Gary Clayton coached 9 years, (78-81, 89-93). Record of 153-85, 5 districts, 1 class a regional

Bailey Cummins (2012-2016) All-time leading scorer (need to get updated points from Sumo) 2 districts, 2 class A regions.

Molly Linville(1989-1992) 2nd All time leading scorer, 1698. 3 districts, 1 Class A region

Amy Flaugher (1975-1978) 3rd All time leading scorer, 1471. 2 districts

Since this is in theory the four most important players/ coaches/ people and not just the best players I'll take a stab with Holmes:

John "Bud" Wimzie: Played on the '78 team and has basically been there ever since. No one has meant more to the young people in Covington. He could be mayor tomorrow if he wanted to be.

Gary Huhn: 50 years keeping the book for the basketball team and continues to teach math at Holmes. He's the only person that has been a part of all the great teams in school history. He's also the best teacher to ever walk on that campus.

Ricky Beal: Played at UK. We all know his story.

Ricardo Johnson: Great player. Greater person. Current GA at Xavier. Despite all the controversy in 78 and the close calls he makes this list because he's the only player in school history that's the MVP of the state tournament.

I realize who this leaves off: Jennings, Pittman, Reynolds Flynn, David Henley and especially Doug Schlomer. All of these men are especially deserving. What's even crazier is if you look at the girls side then you have to find room for Erica Hallman. After seeing this thread this really took some thought and I just wish more faces could be on the mountain!

Like your list, I would have to add Rick Hicks somewhere.

It was tough to leave Rick off of there. I seriously considered him and could be talked into him over Scott but it's really close. Rick and Faehr led Conner in their glory days of basketball.

Pretty solid group. Trying to justify taking Stowers off but just don't know who I'd put in his spot.
